as a true lovere of the band i must say while the meet was awesome..the gig left me sad.....to me rock and roll is about emotion and sweat..i never saw THE WHO THE CLASH THE JAM LEAVE A STAGE with no perspiration...to me it seems OASIS have now " mailed in there check" yes they will play there hits..but they will show no passion , no love,,have no physical interaction with crowds....and sadly my freinds that is what a concert is all about...if u want to hear a perfect rendition of "wonderwall" listen to the cd..i sadly was so upset as halfwauy thru the gig i felt as i could simply close my eyes and hear the gig as if it was a cd tune...to me thats not a gig..... CAN U PICTURE PETE TOWNSEND NOT SWEATING? OR MICK?? i mean these guys (i love them) just basically mailed it in...im sorry but thats my feeling...HOW CAN A BAND THAT INSPIRES SUCH PASSION THAT PEOPLE COME FROM 5 CONTINENTS TO SEE THEM HERE..SHOW ABSOLUTELY NO EMOTION FOR THE CROWD OR THE BANDMATES???I AM GUTTED

That's just the way that they are really, i mean i don't think they do it intentionally it's just their way of playing. I saw the coral the other week here, and they were exactly the same, save for one song). Some bands just don't find it necessary or even want to move around alot when playing.

True they ain't the who, Stones or whoever but what you see is what you get and for me oasis is a must see. I think views on whats a good gig and whats bad depends on your location, i think the US go for grandure, Extravagant shows while the british go for pure music. Don't sound like you had a good night then m8!, next time maybe Cheers doggboy

I've seen em a few times and every time there the same but at the same time fucking awesome. I remember the hull arena 2002 and liam did not move a muscle and noel looked like he just left a wake, But i left that place buzzing my tits off, and so did everyone else.
cheers

Its like the coronet gig they didn't do fuck all on stage apart from the music and to me from the dvd it was mega! So again with all things oasis its a personal opinion and i respect that. doggboy

honestly kalas, this is the most surprising post I have ever read from you. I'd expect this from someone who had never seen them before or never knew them, but complaining about oasis being motionless from a true fan...it's just weird it's how they are - I don't know it's like complaining that they are Mancunian

NOEL said on 3 seperate occasions that the MSG GIG would be " special" and there would be a surprise or 2...what we got was the paper cutter OASIS GIG.. was it great ...yes ...did i lose my voice ...yes was this there chance to blow away the states with a gig that would re establish there brilliance in the public eye?..yes did they do that no they did not even change 1 thing that is upsetting to me..sorry...

If noel would've said the big dick story from wembley at last nights MSG show i can just imagine what the papers would've wrote "Gallaghers arrogance rears its ugly head" or some shit like that and i believe the band(noel mainly) had this in mind, just lets be a professional band play the best we can and go from there. cheers doggboy

Completely disagree theres no passion. The reason the shows in the UK are more passionate ,simple, the fans are better. Its more like a football crowd when oasis play here in the UK and thats something you just don't have in the states.

Wow Oasis are turning into Coldplay by the sounds of it! Hopefully in the UK we will get some "action" from them. I saw Liam totally drunk and interacting TOO much with the crowd on the second night at Wembley! None of the tunes even resembled the cds that much.. "Who Feels Drugs" etc LOL I said in another thread the US audiences sounded very TAME compared to the UK where it is basically one HUGE "moshpit". Also if Noel and Liam aren't getting on too well it may explain their workman-like approach to MSG even though it should have been MEGA!!!

Is that true (for Liam)? B - From what I've been reading he's been like that for most if not all of this 2005 tour. C - As always. D - I don't see them doing that kind of thing anymore. In fact I've read similiar comments for UK gigs. From what most people here are saying about the gigs I would say most of them think it WAS special. Too bad you didn't feel the same too, but I think you went with wrong expectations. For example, people expected different things to happen compared to the previous nights. I think all Oasis fans should be glad that the band put the same effort for the other crowds, saving something like LTBL for MSG would be disrespectful to the people who were at the Detroit, Toronto and Chicago gigs, in my opinion.

Then again they've always been like that and you can't expect them to jump around the stage in spandex like page and plant. Heck just look at their videos - they don't even want to do any sort of acting or anything creative with them (probably why a lot of them stink).

Kalas, I didn't expect that from you.
I disagree about the differences between the band here and in the UK as well. I've seen them in both places and the only difference as some other guy said is the crowd, not the band. The band always play it pretty straight, apart from the odd walk off from Liam or tantrum at the sound/light engineer.
They never broke sweat at Knebworth or Wembley either. Liam might have been more chatty, but he was high as a kite at both gigs.

Another thing is MSG all seating? if so that is never condusive to a so-called proper gig. I remember the Nottingham ice arena, we were in the seating area and it felt more of a concert than a gig, don't get me wrong i loved it but you can't beat jumping around chucking beer here there and everywhere singing at the top of your voice and mainly just fucking aving it in a tightly packed venue.
Cheers
