Tonights concert was absolutely worth the wait and surpassed all the hype that led up to it. The lads were ready for MSG and the house brought the roof down when Liam stepped to the mic during "Fucking in the bushes" and proclaimed ' It's been a long fucking time Madison Square Garden but we're finally here!"!" Liam's voice spot on, Noel and band enjoyed performing tonite. I have never seen Gem this animated. Zak = world class drumming. Liam's stage presence unsurpassed, he had the women ( and some men ) wrapped around his fingers with every slight swagger, shoulder shrug and stare. I don't think it could have been better ( perhaps longer) . Noel:" Tonights been truly a pleasure......" The Garden thanked them with ovations song after song .....great night for Rock n Roll ! fuckin glad they didnt fuck this up. this was the most important gig they've ever played in the united states and i'm ashamed that i didnt make it. judging by the pictures and the posts it was americas fuckin knebworth.

yeah just got back from it. Top notch. The crowd was loving it, I agree the band was really animated. noel even did a little bit of guitar animation, sticking it up in the air and stuff.
noel signed someones vinyl record while on stage at the end.
liam sounded really good, I dunno if hearing it on bootlegs will be the same, but his voice sounded fine.
Crowd was really loving it, obviously DLBIA, MG, LF got the biggest applauses, but the new stuff was well recieved too.
songbird was great, the whole arena was clapping along

sorry i couldn't come!  the concert was MEGA though! (i started losing my voice by lyla, and kept on screaming and singing and yelling at the top of my lungs. eventually lost my voice, after the concert, thankfully) |
