For those of you that have already seen Oasis live at on of their recent gigs, I was wondering if their shows have been as good as you could have hoped for. Are they playing up to your standards as far as sounding ace and just putting on a good show? I'll be seeing them in Houston this year and wanted to know if I was going to be seeing possibly the best gig ever or just another good show.
I would love to hear from everyone!

my friend who i went with worked at the ampitheatre for 4 years before this one seeing pretty much every show you could imagine and he said this was by far the best show he has ever seen there

I agree with everyone who has said the Ampitheatre show rocked - because it really did. My two friends that I went with arent huge fans, and joking said that Jet could show them up. At the end of the gig, they forgot Jet had even opened. Musically, it was the best concert Ive ever been to, I'd say.

i don't want to bring this high down, but i saw them in chicago monday night, and i have to say, sadly, i was disappointed. i've seen them 4 times now, and this was by far their weakest performance. liam's voice wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't the best, a lot of the levels were off (which of course is not their fault per se) i brought 6 of my friends with who were all first timers, and no one ranked the show above a 6. i know they didn't want to sound like a fuck to me either...they all have all 6 albums as well. it really just lacked punch. sorry. it probably didn't help that absolutely NO BOOZE ws served at the facility. i'm still kinda down about the whole thing.

No Larger at an Oasis Gig, there should be a law against that sort of thing!

I drove from Cleveland to see them in NYC. Spent a small fortune and they blew me away. I thought it was going to be spectular and it was that and more. It was the12th gig I have seen and it seems like they are aging like a fine wine.

I was at Boston last nite -- my first seeing them since Brotherly Love in 2001 (would've been 2002 when touring behind HC if it wasn't for that car accident!) -- and was in heaven. I would have liked to see some more banter between Liam and Noel, though. In 2001 at Tweeter, there was quite a bit of sparring between the Gallaghers and the audience, especially when an audience member asked Noel if he could shake his hand and Noel sarcastically replied something like "Don't think so. Think you'd get a little too excited about that, mate".
Besides, it was nice to see Gem and Andy be a little looser this time around and not play the parts of stone statues. Oh yeah, Gem busting out the harmonica for MF was f'n great.
