Ok so I am flying up to Boston from Tampa on Friday w/ two gen admission tix. The guy I was going to stay with may NOT be in town next weekend si #1 I may have an xtra ticket @ #2 I need a good but cheap way of getting from airport to Tweeter Ctr and a decent hotel in Boston.
Anybody!!
I'm flying a 1000 miles to see Oasis w/ no transportation or place to stay (maybe)!!!
That's dedication. Hopefully will make it to pre party under American Flag.
Crazy life I lead!

Ok What I meant by 'anybody!' was if anyone knew of the best transportation from airport to Mansfield/Tweeter Center area. Bus,cab, train etc.
not looking to bum a ride!!!
Looks like if my friend doesn't come through by being there I'll be booking a room @ The Courtyard in Foxbourough. Anyone staying there? One hotel in Mansfield was completely booked. Can party it up!!

Hey. Well, check out this link to the train down to Mansfield. Once you get down to Mansfield from Boston, there should be taxis that can take you to the Tweeter Center. For specifics, call someone at the MBTA or check out the website. www.mbta.com/traveling_t/schedules_commuterrail.aspFor hotels, don't know of any but there should be some in the Mansfield, Foxboro area. Then in the morning, you just get a taxi from hotel to Mansfield train station and take it on up to Boston!!! Hope this helps. If you get to the show early enough, look for an American flag in the air, towards the front left of the parking lot. We'll be partying! See ya and good luck, -Twice

Forgot to mention.....I think you should take a taxi from Logan airport to South Station. (which is the main train station) Once there, make sure you check out the stops on the line that goes to either South Attleboro or Providence. I think that line stops in at Mansfield. I would suggest making a phone call just so you know where it will take you.... -Twice

I know there's a Red Roof Inn & a Comfort Inn in Mansfield. They're both about 10 mins driving time from the Tweeter Center (or so Yahoo! says). Last time I called them they both still had rooms for this weekend. I ended up staying at the Sheraton in Newton though. Good luck dude. I'll be in general admission at the Tweeter Center too so maybe I'll see you there.

There's a couple of Days Inn's on I-495( ) either side of the Mansfield exit I believe. But if you're without a vehicle I'd sugges getting the closest accommodation possible ;-)

Hey MBC well I think I might have connected w/ my place to stay BUT if not that Friday I will find some hotel nearby.
Yeah I am in Gen Admission too. Hoping still to get great seats for a hopefully announced Florida stop.
I will be all alone in a BRIGHT ORANGE Oasis concert T from the N. American SOTSOG tour. Hopefully I will be able to go to after show party if there is any. Plus by the time you get out of Concert and Tweeter Center area it will be 12 then travel back to Boston won't leave much time so I'll probably party at hotel (whichever one I choose) with hopefully some Oasis fans!
I'm an Oasis Nomad.

Right on man. I'm coming up from Virginia for this show (it'll be my first) and can't wait. I'll keep an eye out for you dude. If you're taking a laptop or anything, keep an eye on this thread and maybe we can meet up for a beer or something.

hey everyone, i posted this over at the official site too, and am hoping for some help as well..
well, here's my deal in short...i'd appreciate if anyone here can help in any way..
my name's J, i'm 23, from New Jersey...i have 2 tickets to Friday's show in Section 7.
my friend backed out last minute, and none of my other friends are huge Oasis fans...i'd consider bringing someone who isn't that into them, but it's my first show so i'd rather not do that, and i'm not overly concerned about losing the $ for that one ticket...i have the entire day free, and am willing to go up by myself so i'm excited about Twice setting up a massive tailgate...however..
- i was hoping to party up in Boston afterwards, how far is the venue from the city? are there better after-party options?? what's the best/cheapest option for staying overnight?
- anyone interested in buying the extra ticket? face value is $26 and $8 for the ticketmaster fee.
- if by some odd chance, someone is interested in swapping a ticket to the NY show for a ticket to the Boston show, that would work out great me for as well..
with that all said, i'm planning on just getting up there by 2pm or so and playing the rest of the night by ear...if someone could post the specific parking lot where the big tailgate would be, that'd be awesome...any other help would be reallyyyy appreciated, thanks in advance..

Hey J - the venue is about 45 min to an hour from Boston, but if you're parking in the general lot, leave plenty of time to get out after the show (upwards of 1.5 hours). There are some small private lots and the ticketmaster sponsored premium parking (which I'm doing). I would recommend checking out Providence instead if driving that far after the show is a concern; providence is much closer.
Biggest issue for Tweeter Center is that there is only ONE wya in and out of the general parking lot (sucks, huh?) so you have to park where the attendants direct you. They do have the pay parking lot, for which I sprung for the $20 since it's always worth it given the MESS that lot is trying to get out. You'll have to walk to find the tailgate, it looks like.
Hey speaking of which I thought they said you couldn't drink before shows? Is the tailgate thing just a food/soda deal? I want in, me and my buddies & my fiance can bring stuff...?
Staying overnight in Boston? If you end up going there instead of providence, it gets very pricey in the city, although you could try the Holiday Inn Select near Government Center. Try contacting them to find out about rates, that's very close to downtown and fanuel hall and MAY be a cheap option for you. Try one of those expedia.com sites as well, for the holiday inn/days inns, etc. In terms of outside the city with access to the T, if you can't find anything in your range, try something in Quincy/Braintree (red line), that's probably your best bet as you could leave the concert, check in late on your way up to Boston (you'll hit quincy and braintree on 93 north), then take the T up and you can always cab it back. or you could drive in and park in a bunch of different places...PM me if you want more info and are set on going to Boston instead of providence.
Hope that helps

one extra ticket for a lucky young lady - I have a great ticket (Row G, section 2 - front) and also VIP parking and access to VIP tent -- what I don't have is a date, prefereably an attractive woman with a car
I live in Boston
I can send pics, send me yours
Would love to meet someone and have a great time.

Come on...using the board as a dating service...no offense, but that gets a huge thumbs down. Couldn't resist...

Remember....look for the American flag in the parking lot for the pre-party. You can drink, however, you have to keep it in cups and no cans or bottles. See ya, Twice
