perhaps see Step out's toronto gig review in this secttion.
Step said in toronto it was a bit of a shame - not the performance but the crowd was not very warm and receptive to them. sucks to be the "warm up band ".
Crowd in toronto only "got into" 2 of their tunes "Are you gonna be my girl" and the slow one. name escapes me. reportedly lead singer was saying to the crowd "C'mon now ! &^%$# !"
Dunno about Detroit last nite. wait til more ppl respond and post. ciao my friend

I think Jet is decent. It's a lot better than seeing SOOL or Cornershop.
No matter what I still respect the bands.

I know they collaborated but their live show didn't do anything for me.
Having Travis on the SOTSOG tour was mega.

I like Jet personally. If they were not up to snuff Noel wld not permit them to play, period ! plus they are huge oasis fans. I like the aussies and the AC/Dc influence to be honest ! (yes, closet ac/dc fan ! back in black - one of the best party albums ever ! ) even dave grohl of the foos said he aspires to write and album as good as Back in black - a real ROCKER ! peace Tam

I found Jet to be great openers, but I think they suffered because i didnt find the sound itself very good. The sound for Oasis was so much better. Jet probably would have sounded so much better with a sound set up just for them. The crowd didnt get into them much at all. it also didnt help that it was still daylight out

Jet played really well, but like has been said, the crowd wasn't really into it in Toronto at all. They played really well though, I was impressed. The singer's got some good range, and can pull off the songs live.

I agree with what soquester said. Jet played well live and their lead singer can definitely perform the songs live perfectly. It's a shame that the crowd weren't into them, but the people paid and came to see Oasis. People come to see the headlining band, not the support acts.

Jet are a great band don't get me wrong. I quite like them but they are shite live, i've seen them a few times and alot on tele over here in the land of Oz and I must say they need to practice more cause they are always out of tune and out of time. It's a shame cause they have some great tunes.

It's a shame cause they have some great tunes. yeah i agree. ive seen them alot cause i live in oz and theyre aweful live. theyre too scatty, the drumming is allover the place, they cant keep tempo, and personally the songs are really that great. theyre a bit ordinary. |

From what I have heard of them Jet is quality... I like Cold Hard Bitch and I hope they do Look What You've Done (GREAT song)... but some bands that sound good on albums suck live and visa-versa... so we'll just have to wait and see
