A friend of mine called in several times from the show saying the band was in top form. Liam's voice lasted the whole show and there were no sibling tensions on stage except for a few smirks and head shakes from the chief. Liam had some fun with a fans bra that got tossed on stage as he gave it his infamous 45 second stare down ( that must have been funny )
As he left the stage after My Generation he apparently gave one of his crew members a "love tap" on the balls ... ;D
Fans were really rockin out to the show. Hope this carries over the the BIG one in NYC ;D

I just got back from the show, and it was incredible!!! They really were in top form tonight, except for a few notes that were off. Noel did seem to be having trouble singing The Importance of Being Idle, but it really didn't matter. It was absolutely breathtaking. The audience was so energized and pumped. Hardly anyone was standing up for Jet, and then they changed the stuff on the stage and you just knew they were about to start. Everyone in the entire place stood up, it was so amazing! And then FITB started playing, and the rest was just awesome. After the show, I got a ton of free stuff. They had a tour van with DBTT album pictures on it, and they gave away stickers, (and I got the ONLY free copy - that they gave out tonight - of the new album with the bonus disc from Best Buy! woooo!)
And now, to top things off, they're staying at my hotel! As I type this, I'm looking out my window, waiting for their tour vans, because I'm trying to snag an autograph. What a night!

What hotel did they stay at? The Townsedn in Birmingham id imagine? Anyways they fuckin rocked. They Played Impotance of being idel heavy electric which is better than they did in toronto (acoustic). I dont know what the Toronto guy was saying about Mucky fingers, and Meaning of Soul, they sound better live than on the album!!!! I wish they redo the songs electric with the heavy drum intro. Amazing sold out show!

i was surprised by the older people in the audience! I noticed the same thing at the Toronto show. Many older people in the 100's (closest)... probably because they are the ones who would be able to afford to pay for the scalped tickets....

I had an amazing time last night. I had seats in the orchestra pit. They were second row on the tickets but turned out to be first row because apparently the first row was the barrier in front of the stage. I was directly in front of Noel. Didn't get much play from Liam because he just went out mostly to the area right in front of the stage. However, I did get a little interaction from Noel during Wonderwall. Also, during My Generation, Noel tossed his guitar pick onto the stage and I reached up on stage and snagged it. Wish Liam woulda come over and given me his tamborine instead of the yuppie prick he gave it to that probably just won his tickets. But it was a great experience. I had a hard time hearing the vocals because I was close I assume but it didn't really matter because I was singing along the whole time anyway.
