It is the kind of question whereas someone (in this case I) inquires about a subject that that person (me) would like to acquire information about.

I'm not into too much music beyond Oasis -- well not popular music -- and was wondering if other bands have done similar things in the past.

well, noel said two things 1) hey weren't good enough - so on the one hand I wouldn't have thought that he'd release them though they might leak
and 2) recnetly -- in an interview he said they might end up on some sort of box set or soemthing - so in short yeah perhaps -
if they're released by themselves I would think they'd be released after six months but before 2 years have gone by, but if they'r e released in some sort of compilation then it'll be at least a year
if they're leaked i would have thought they'd leak already but who knows
