I went on coldplay.com and checked out their tour section. From June until the end of September, Coldplay only have 2 shows SOLD-OUT and those are in London. Oasis has how many sold-out including this American tour!??! I just find it funny how we can sell-out so many shows vs. Coldplay who sell millions of albums. Oh yeah, we are OASIS. They are like your favorite sports team, only better. Interesting observation I believe... -TWICE Just a note, Coldplay.com doesn't update the tour section in terms of the shows being sold out or if tickets are still available very often. I have heard that U.S. tour sold out in 20 minutes, but I know for a fact that the two MSG shows are sold out along with the show in Toronto.

why an important part of the moderators in this forum prefer other bands to oasis? i've been always wondering about this...

Well, the way I see it if you like Coldplay more you will like X&Y more, that's obvious. But I can't understand how someone who likes Oasis more will like X&Y over DBTT, considering DBTT is one of the band's best album in years while X&Y is considered by many Coldplay fans their weakest one (I've been spending some time at a Coldplay forum).

at the detroit show the bouncers came on to the lawn to control the crowd. people were crazy jumping on the sound room and dancing on the roof! out of control!!! i'd like to see 15,000 people do that at a coldplay concert!!!!1
THEY WONT
ive seen both bands live, and oasis is and always will be 2 leagues above coldplay. Stats, numbers, and records sold mean nothing in rock n roll its all about the LIVE SHOW!

It's just something about X&Y, I don't know what it is, but I love that album, it's very melodic. Step, you know I adore Coldplay... For me personally, DBTT really beats X&Y. as noel says it is all in the ear of the beholder, so true...I am sure you agree For me personally, I like the sound of DBTT much better and it it so DIRECT and simple in many ways that it is genious. I feel it. (perhaps I am seeking these qualities in life currently so ...) deep thought, LOL ! X&Y although it is good it is tedious. I have to be in the mood. again, we are all different. I agree with Noel - Chris Martin can explain the meaning of life, the universe and all surrounding galaxies in 3.5 mins. (it can be exhausting for me..) Let me end with Chris M is a genious musically. and his heart and head is always in the right place it seems. I admire that. be well tam

FWIW, the Coldplay concert I went to a few years ago here was absolutely incredible. I couldn't believe how good they were live. Small, sold-out venue of about 3,000 people and they played like it was Madison Square Garden.

If you go to a coldplay concert, you should bring along a nice bottle of white wine, maybe a nice sharp cheese. And it'd probably be wise to load up on no-doze beforehand...
Of course, if you do fall asleep, I'm sure you won't have to worry about being stepped on...

To say Coldplay has no stage precence is rubbish. Chris Martin is always changing up things during the show and he is generally glad to be at the gigs. Which is unfortunately more than I can say about Liam. I love Oasis but Coldplay is the better live show. When i saw Coldplay, Chris was quite talkative and incorporated the crowd with the show quite nicely.
