I agree with Kalas on this one.
give me Noel and Gem on an accoustic tour from here on out and I'll be more than satisfied

I have no reason to believe Liam will "fuck up" any tour, but if he does I'm 100% sure you're gonna be here in two or three years when the next album is about to come out and everyone is going crazy for 'Stop The Clocks'. And if you're not, your loss.

I am so glad that I am seeing them twice (NYC & Boston) this time around, no matter how the gigs go, no matter if Liam is spot on or total dog-shit, I will suck it all in, absorb it and cherish the moment, every song, every note, because I think that after this tour the United States will never Oasis together on a stage again. At least Oasis as we know them now.
No matter what happens from here on out gang, we will always have the albums, the songs, the memories. And we will always know in our hearts that we were/are fans of the greatest rock n roll band in the world, bar-none.

Oasis are going to sign a record deal to distribute their records outside of the UK. We all know they're sorted in the UK, and Noel's on record as saying a new deal is essential to get an album worldwide. They're going to sign for, I would guess, 3 albums. Each album will have a tour, and may even get the promotion an Oasis album warrants for a change. The band will continue to tour the United States in the future. Everyone needs to get this into their heads, Oasis were done in America the moment Liam left Heathrow Airport without boarding his Chicago-bound plane in 1996. There is no Oasis being big in America. Oasis will however continue to tour here for the core fans that they have. And as the 2002 tour was a better tour for Liam than the 2000 tour vocally, why does, if it even happens, a bad 2005 tour for Liam spell the end of the band? The band is restructuring in a very exciting way, a new deal is on the cards and the future looks bright. Liam's a twat and always will be, he's the best and worst thing about the band and you take it or leave it. He went off at Imola 3 songs before the end, he didn't die!

I think if Liam fucks up this US tour, this will be Oasis' last album. Noel seems to be very excited with the potential of this CD and theres a feeling that they could make some sort of comeback in the US, but if the tour doesn't go smoothly, thats all out the window. And I can't see Noel taking much more of this when he can go solo and be very successful and not have to worry about Liam being in the mood to perform or not. Lets hope that it all goes well and the US see how good of a band Oasis really is.

the bottom line is that oasis doesnt care about America. plain and simple. why should they? they'll never be as big as U2 that chance has passed them by. They're very big in the UK and other parts of the world I think oasis is content to be the "best band in the world" and not the "biggest"
If they wanted to crack America they'd do it right. not 5 shows here, and 5 there.... they'd do a proper 20-30 city tour, not JUST chicago, detroit, boston, toronto, NYC (yawn...)
they used to do some pretty decent touring but they just dont anymore. all they do is bitch about America being too big instead of just going and doing it like (and I hate to say it) Coldplay...
They just dont have the promotion, and there's no effort given to push them here, that may be the label, but it's a concentrated effort including the band. I think it's obvioust hey're content where they are.
Whoever said oasis would fold if they dont do well in America... well thats just wrong, oasis could never release another CD here and be just fine...

its also funny how much people are still talking about a "comeback" in the US... come on... they say that every album, and Noel likes every album, and they're always gonna crack the US...
They need to do a tour something like this... it's 30 cities.. but worth it take 2 months do it right, thats how they'll get back on top. 10 shows will barely even get noticed, ESPECIALLY when they ignore the middle of the country and the south... I'm sorry for those thinking this mini tour is gonna boost album sales, but it WONT people wont even care about it or hear about it. If they care about the US they'd tour some of these other places like Nashville, or Birmingham or Phoenix where the world will get around and casual fans will turn out...
Vancouver Seattle Portland San Francisco Los Angeles San Diego Las Vegas Phoenix Denver Dallas Houston Kansas City St. Louis Chicago Milwaukee Detroit Indianapolis Cleveland Cincinnatti Nashville Memphis Birmingham Atlanta Tampa Miami Baltimore Pittsburgh Philadelphia New York Boston Montreal Toronto
