"The Importance Of Being Idle" is a fuckin mega tune man! It sounds like the La's at the beginning.

I love that tune but I really hope they dont release it as the next single in the US..I just dont think it will register here. I wish they would release KTDA or LTBL...either one will soar here, IMO.

I agree wonderfan. TIOBI will NOT be a hit in U.S. It's a very quirky song that is great on an album but will not be a hit at all in U.S.
I have always said KTDA or LLAB should be in U.S.
KTDA has already been used in NBA pre game highlights during playoffs.

but we, the rest of the world, dont care about the US. idle is the best song of the album. its the logical choice.

That's true. You shouldn't care. However, I see double standards on fan boards (more over on the official site) as people say who cares about U.S. then seem to be upset or almost angry when Oasis doesn't go to #1 or sell millions anymore in U.S.
If it's going to be a Noel sung song I would rather have POTQ or Mucky as I like those better than TIOBI.
Personal opinion though.
PS Flying to Spain in 3 weeks!

i don't think Idle would be that bad in the U.S. i think it possibly be quite big. it's different then alot of shit on american radio and ppl may think "that's pretty fuckin good." but u never know. i also believe the KTDA shoulda been the next single. it just screams radio to me. but that's my opinion. and the first time i heard LLAB i thought it should be released. but oh well.
- cheers !

I agree with shortdude. Everyone I know digs that song and they are in the US. I think as a whole Oasis does better with album sales than single sales anyways here in the US. Singles are non existent here for the most part. I can't remember the last time I bought a single. I think the best chance for album sales are the gigs and just good word of mouth

I know sweet FA about the US The Meaning of Soul would DEf fly in the states ! so will LTBL ! I am wild about TIOBI - but I think it may be too "british" for the states .. it's whimsical as andy said. (which is what makes it so brilliant and the melody - to die for ! I did not expect this from Noel ! he blinded -sided me with the music and lyrics, as did the rest - Liam (for sure !), andy and gem.
