Liam walks off stage during half set (Champagne Supernova). There where no particular technical problems of sibling tensions. Noel caried on alone for three songs. There where 50000 people (most of the came when Oasis started playing). Fans where pritty upset and some riots emerged and bottle fights....very nice start
David Zizek from Slovenia

seems like other fans reporting the same story now, Liam either lost his voice or was very unhappy with Sound Mix and left stage slamming his tambourine down....

Well he had a terrible time on Champagne Supernova last night at the festival in Germany..maybe he just got completely frustrated and couldnt sing it at all. I also read on another forum that some fans of another band were throwing things on the stage. Either way, I hope this isnt an omen of things to come.

it was his voice again. you could hear a crack here and there in the beginning of champagne supernova..then he probably tried to get it better but this didnt work out..and he was VERY discontent

Champagne Supernova's an amazing song, but lets face it, its been out of Liam's vocal range for quite a while no, it was dropped completely from the 2002 tour without being seriously missed, and great a song as it is, I wouldn't have much hesitation from dropping it from the live set if I was Noel.

ok heres my translation form that italian article its pretty crap like from some net translator!! if anyone can translate it better please feel free That Liam Gallagher does not be an easy character are of it full the chronicles of the rock and not only. That the two brothers Gallagher is not a phenomenon of liking you suffice to look at a concert to understand it. Make is that tonight to the heineken Jammin Festival, Liam, the brother singing left the stage without apparent motive, leaving of plaster the public and the band. The Oasis are the headliner of the conclusive evening of the heineken Jammin Festival, a polite not easy visa the enthusiastic welcome had from the groups that have them precedeuti, Billy Idol and Velvet Revolver. Liam Gallagher, that on the platform sings still and with the fixed look in the empty one, had seemed (for what is possible vision) specially nervous and difficult would have surpassed quantomeno the test of the balloon. Piu' times had profaned its imperturbabilita' revolting gestures to the mixer for lift the volume of the '' spies''. Clearly without perche resulted' in the fine means of '' Champagne supernova'' it is been removed the caps and if is gone of it. While in this moment the public of Imola whistles and, to how much seems, throws objects on the platform, the engineer of the sound does to know, across the press bureau, that '' Liam Gallagher is perche gone away' had not piu' voice''. The singer of the Oasis is almost piu' known for his whims and the its exceeded unjustified that for what did artistic. Therefore it does not be surprising that if it is gone of it in this manner even if sincerely unspeakable. How always the weight of the event if it and' taken on the shoulders Noel, the brother guitarist and composer that traditionally has also a space how singing but not like tonight that it is been should burden good part of the concert seen the attitude of the brother. For contract the Oasis play '' not except for of un'ora'', the that means that do not surpass ever the 60 minutes of concert with good peace of the public of Imola that is seemed rather inferocito, frank to reason. To the of it' of the deeds of the brothers Gallagher the surprise of the concert of the Oasis is been Zak Starkey, batterista and son of Ringo Starr that, between parenthesis, resembles piu' to Keith young Richards that to the batterista of the Beatles. Surely at least technically it plays a lot better than the pope'. So it is true that the Who sent again it it' perche' Zack is pledged with the Oasis. Liam Gallagher allowing.

okay so what we can learn from here is that it's rather a technical problem???..but still he sounded a bit..strange..let's hope it was just a messy mixing from the soundboard

C'mon guys, it wouldnt be a proper Oasis tour without Liam walking off at least once. They should just make it part of the set-list now:-
Supersonic Wonderwall Bring It On Down Liam Walks Off Stage Mucky Fingers
At least he made it through 95% of the set this time.

okay... im sorry to change the subject.... but reading that translation
"Surely [Zack] at least technically it plays a lot better than the pope"
had me rolling on the floor... yeah, I know the translatior mistakenly used "Pope" for "father" (they're the same word I believe), referring to Ringo surely... but that's just hilarious
I want to see the Pope on drums

For every oasis tour ive been to, which has been them all since 1996, there has always been something that happened before i went to make me think that its going to be cancelled. 2002 it was Liam's teeth the week before the cardiff gig, 2000 was the mental night in wembley and i thought they wouldnt go ahead with the murrayfield gig, i could go on.............

if he walks out in Toronto on Friday night, I'm gonna be pissed, unless Noel picks up the pieces with an acoustic set.

One thing u must remember is that this may happen to other singers but Liam is different in that he will walk off stage in a fit AND he knows Noel can take some of the burden to 'finish' the show.
Other bands may have one singer and one singer only AND not want to throw a fit like Liam does.

i've seen oasis 18 times and - this might sound strange- but genuinely want to go to a gig where liam walks off, i feel incomplete that i haven't seen it.
i'd rather have someone care so much that they storm off and fuck playing shit than putting on a shit concert where u can tell they just wanna finish.
Liam IS rock n roll, and that is why Oasis are the greatest band of all time
