Having heard a good few bootlegs and a few tv appearances, it does seem that Liam can't quite hit Lyla, alot of people are putting this down to the "degregation of his vocals" and whilst I'll admit they aren't what they are in '95, he can still hit Cigarettes n Alcohol (referring to the song in this case) well, and new songs like A Bell Will Ring always sound mega. I just think Lyla is a bridge too far for Liam what with the high notes etc, and Oasis would be better served by scrapping Lyla from the set-list, first single or no first single and replacing it with another new song e.g. Keep The Dream Alive, or an older song such as Columbia, which Liam's never had any trouble hitting live.
Anyone share this opinion?

i agree that liam's voice isn't perfect live for lyla...he had amazing vocals in yesterday's german festival but lyla wasn't perfect...but still decent... but i think this is some of the interest of lives...less perfect and more lively than studio versions!!!

If you think it should go then you obviously haven't seen the band perform the song live. The crowd absolutely loves it.
If the people getting the bootlegs don't like it, fuck them. The people who actually paid to see it always have a good time.
