I just wanted to know what other Oasis fans make of the new album! I think most of the songs are brilliant! I just think that the lads were too hasty in trying to sound like the Beatles! Heathen Chemistry is still my favorite! Maybe i'm wrong! Prove Me Wrong!

Fuckin' ace. Better than Morning Glory but still nowhere near DM.

it isn´t sound like the beatles, definitely... but it´s a great comeback and FAAAAAAAR better than HC... i agree with NME when they say this album is a "base camp" for the return of true greatness of Oasis (ok, the rest of the review is crap...) DBTT got 7 or 8 really good songs and the rest of it is ok... it´s the first oasis album since MG that have no crap songs, but there aren´t any classic song, one that you can say "man, this is fucking great!!"... it´s the only thing i miss in "truth"... DBTT is solid; is what we (and they) needed by now, and i think we can expect a fantastic next one...
8/10

Everytime I listen to a new Oasis album I think it's unreal. I still think of the older albums that way but to a lesser degree. Heathen Chemistry I enjoy a lot, but there are a couple tracks I could do without. I can't say the same for DBTT. Every song grips me. And as far as songs that pump me up and motivate me, these are the best since DM and early B-Sides.

hey, speak yer mind here. no problems DBTT ! It moves me ! I feel it ! UNLIKE 99.9% of today's music. I cld bang on about every song but won't, it's getting late. I was reading the lyrics today and realized it was like POETRY - it's own kind ! Incredible. I agree with some of the other critics, I appreciate the DIRECTNESS of many of the songs ! As far as the beatles comment, someone once said - oasis - it's everything you've heard before and all new -at the same time ! (this band has EVOLVED ! I am right by their side !) their sound is DISTINCT and Noel and Liam's vocals are some of the best in the business ! I am appalled at many lead singers today actually. sorry ass excuse for frontmen ! Now I want them to come to the states and RAISE THE ROOF ! (just the selfish side of me !) be well,

It's good, I could do without the Importance of Being Idle. I think they should have reworked Meaning of Soul, should have been electric. Other than that, it's a pretty solid album. Their best work in quite sometime.

I really like it, I'm struggling for the right word to describe it. I think the word I'm looking for is mature, I think that's it, not too sure though.

its good i realy enjoy listening to it. personally i was hoping for more eyeball tickler type tunes but i was supprised to find how much i enjoyed its mellowness! its the chilled out bbq with friends on warm sumers evening as opposed to definately maybe's drunken night of of madness! both quite differing forms of fun but both are equalley as entertaining in their own way!

to me dbtt is an excellent album. but its missing that spark that made oasis so very great from 93 to 96 or so. its there best technical album, lots of great songs, but the songs just don't ellicit the same things, they don't have that youthfulness of dm or wsmg. great album, but not brilliant.

They don't elicit the same things because they were in their 20's and represented youth. Now, they're grown adults and must write music that reflects their age. You can't write/sing Roll With It when you're 40...

When I listen to DBTT, I listen to the whole album. Even if I only intend on listening to one track in the beginning, I always end up just listening to the rest of the album, because it is that good.

I think there is a theme. TIOBI, Meaning of Soul, A Bell Will Ring and POTQ string it together. It's a very motivating album. I think a theme is what SOTSOG and HC were missing. HC was a great collection of songs but nothing tied them together.

To put it another way, its better than X&Y, Heathen Chemistry and Standing on the Shoulder of Giants. But not as good as the first 3 Oasis albums, or Parachutes and a Rush of Blood To The Head....Bring on the smitings!
