leib..i agree with alot of what you are saying( i did not quote cause it would take too much space..but good job) but his years of "hard living" dont cut it hes only 32 and there are plenty of singers who smoked , drank, and coke who maintained the voice , especially at the young age of 32..i think its a deeper problem to be honest

I understand the points about getting your money's worth and Liams unprofessionalism;however I think that this time things are different. If you look at the recent footage tv,concert and you listen to the interviews, I believe that Liam is trying his hardest but cant get it together vocally.I agree that over the years the erratic behavior and wild man antics became annoying and sure us the paying faithful have the right to a sober performance. However,it may be that all the years of hard living are finally catching up but I really dont think that this is one of those cases where the man just isnt giving it his all and is drinking to much to sing properly. He even said something in (I believe it was the irish tv ggtia interview)that he was really looking forward to this tour and he hopes his voice doesnt go.As I said in my long thread a couple of days ago:Theories regarding Liams voice at the moment...It could have something to with the teeth incident or just not being used to the vocal stress of touring (3 yr break)but I am more and more convinced that he is having legit throat problems. He has sounded decent acoustically, and I maintain that if they would just change up the set a little,I think it would help.I just think it is unfair to kick him now (in the past definitely)but he didnt walk off last night because of mic troubles/Velvet Revolver fans, it was out of frustration in his inability to reach the notes.Again, I am hoping somehow he fines his voice as I will be at msg,Bos, and Hollywood bowl as I do agree as much as I love Noels much improved vocal abilities(Agreed he is definitly underated)some of the rockers just dont quite sound right without the proper Liam treatment ie demo of Lyla. Well stated. In that webchat with Gem a few weeks ago Liam admitted to be excited to your but doesn't like it when he loses his voice.

Whoa i think people are going way overboard for this one, We don't know the reasons for him leaving it could be something to do with the crowd his voice anything? My theory is he's not happy with the sound technicians. I was just watching the milan gig and during SCYHO it was obvious he was not happy with the sound as he kept looking over towards the technical area and giving various signals. Noel has also said how there having problems with there new sound people as they've hardly worked together before. Don't worry people it ain't nothing we ain't seen before come a few weeks we'll all be having it to the great OASIS
Cheers

I've been to at least 2 gigs where he either walked off (Nottingham) or was arguing with the soundies (Hull) now im not condoning it cos it is a tad unproffesional but in the same context it is part of the OASIS show(good times and bad times), Look at Pete Doherty that bloke can't even hold a song together let alone a gig and he is heralded as some kind of god when in reality he's a dirty junkie with a talent for writing songs. I think we should take a deep breath and just wait to see what transpires, If it was the crowd throwing stuff then im all for him walking off (I know i wouldn't stand there a take that shite), If it was cos of poor sound then maybe he was wrong for storming off but if it isn't right and he doesn't feel he's giving the performance the fans want then i can sympathise with him. If somert ain't right at my work then i get something done about it. And another thing the last thing i want is for Noel to go solo and tour with weller that for me is the nail in the coffin, Although weller was a pioneer(and still makes a few good tunes) he is now riding oasis' coatails. Just chillout and prepare for the gigs. Unless one of them bails out at this point im not in the slightest worried, just another twist on the Oasis rollercoaster. Cheers doggboy

I don't know what everyone is bitching about. Liam performed 12 out of 15 songs. That's pretty good. Most bands don't even give you 12 songs at a gig. that's not the point. the problem is we're less than 10 shows into the tour, and already he's dropping out of shows. I personally would love to hear Noel do a whole show just for the variety and uniqueness of it, but there are people who want to see Liam do the "Liam" songs, not Noel

To me Liam personifies oasis much more than Noel does, Liam is OASIS. And my favourite tracks on this album are liams. I personally i prefer the correct singer to sing the correct song otherwise it defeats the object, such as when Noel does wonderwall in that Ryan adams style just doesn't sit well with me, the reason Ryan adams covered it was because how good it was in its original form so why the hell noel figured he had to change it to sound similar was strange i must admit. In all forget any solo albums i just wanna see my beloved oasis ;D Cheers doggboy

I read every single post here I agree with what you ppl are saying TOTALLY. THIS REALLY BRINGS ME DOWN Liam needs to have better vocal hygiene, quit the smokes for better breathe support and endurance, sing in "his range" and not strain, get prof. lessons and tips and yeah maybe let noel sing more. We;ll see what the next few days bring. I can only imagine Noel's stress levels I am gonna get my rosary out and pray and maybe do a Buddist shrine with some incense and lava lite (for the effect) I got tics for 3 shows stateside
