oh right. the way they presented in radio 5 live last night sounded as though there was a big bust up, but thats just the press trying to stir things up a bit!!!.
needs to get his voice sorted! but i suppose it has to happen once every tour so at least its out the way now!!

see i think it shouldnt happen at all. people pay £30-£40 to go see oasis. they should never dissapoint. i would fuckin raging if liam walked off stage at a gig i was at.

hie's had a nightmare with champagne supernova ever since glastonbury. they should just drop it from the set fullstop. great song but there are plenty more to fill its place....maybe zak plays it too slow??

As I stated in my earlier post 'Theories on Liams voice"... I dont think this is down to drinking or boozing.Liam is having severe voice problems! They need to change the set and add an acoustic break in order to pace himself.

you mean a sort of stress-induced degradation of his voice takes place? so that could be cos he's doesnt practise his singing so often?

As much as i like noels little accoustic sets, theres no way i wanna see him do the whole thing theres certain songs i expect to hear at an oasis concert and Noel just cant sing them live (please no comments about how liam cant sing them live at the minute either!)

Well, Liam can't sing them anyway! ;D Like what? Give me examples. They're his songs for goodness sake. He knows how they should be played.

Well ok he can sing them of coarse there his songs as you say but it just wouldnt sound right with him singin Turn Up the sun Live Forever Cigs and Alchol Champagne Supernova My Generation Meanin of Soul Supersonic in fact theres loads...yeah he could do them on accoustic but you wanna here them sang properly at a big concert

He does Live Forever really really well. You should get some of his acoustic stuff. And My Generation doesn't count. Plus, I doubt he would play Liam's songs, so that cancels out MOS. And if it was solo acoustic, I doubt he would play Andy or Gem's songs, so that takes out Turn Up the Sun.
Now, he would have more than enough tunes for a concert just out of the oldies that he plays great. And he plays Cigs and Alc fine, just like I'm sure he would play other tunes. Out of the new album, he could play all of his stuff.
People underestimate Noel.

I just thought of something. If they take CS out of the setlist, they may replace it with LTBL!

Liam walks off stage at least once every tour they do. He got this one out of the way, he was probably pissed, but he'll get his shit together and on June 22nd when I step into MSG Oasis will blow my and everyone else there's minds like it's their fucking job (which it is.)

I don't know what everyone is bitching about. Liam performed 12 out of 15 songs. That's pretty good. Most bands don't even give you 12 songs at a gig.

GROW UP LIAM

i dunno, noel's acoustic stuff from 94-2000 was great, but since then, Oasis hasn't produced the quality, spontaneous bsides they used to. The best acoustic stuff noel did is from 10 years ago or so; I can't see an album full of songs like Part of the Queue or TIOBI being all that great, because even though I LOVE Noel's acoustic sets, an entire album and tour of it would probably get boring knowing it's not "Oasis". Just my humble opinion.

I understand the points about getting your money's worth and Liams unprofessionalism;however I think that this time things are different. If you look at the recent footage tv,concert and you listen to the interviews, I believe that Liam is trying his hardest but cant get it together vocally.I agree that over the years the erratic behavior and wild man antics became annoying and sure us the paying faithful have the right to a sober performance. However,it may be that all the years of hard living are finally catching up but I really dont think that this is one of those cases where the man just isnt giving it his all and is drinking to much to sing properly. He even said something in (I believe it was the irish tv ggtia interview)that he was really looking forward to this tour and he hopes his voice doesnt go.As I said in my long thread a couple of days ago:Theories regarding Liams voice at the moment...It could have something to with the teeth incident or just not being used to the vocal stress of touring (3 yr break)but I am more and more convinced that he is having legit throat problems. He has sounded decent acoustically, and I maintain that if they would just change up the set a little,I think it would help.I just think it is unfair to kick him now (in the past definitely)but he didnt walk off last night because of mic troubles/Velvet Revolver fans, it was out of frustration in his inability to reach the notes.Again, I am hoping somehow he fines his voice as I will be at msg,Bos, and Hollywood bowl as I do agree as much as I love Noels much improved vocal abilities(Agreed he is definitly underated)some of the rockers just dont quite sound right without the proper Liam treatment ie demo of Lyla.
