yeah GA does relieve the stress on "ticket buying" day, but u still face some stress on the day of the concert in beating the other 10 000 ppl to the front. visa preferred aye? i might check that out. i got my wave aid tix through that and it was sweet. i also have a feeling that there will be an extra show announced between sydney and melbourne. they have 3 days to kill. it will either be a newcastle show, a second sydney show, a canberra show(highly unlikely) or a second melbourne show (most likely considering festival hall is the smallest of the venues. i guess we will have to wait and see and hope its syd or newcastle! Whether you're standing bang on front with GA or a little way back its still way better than copping a seat 3 rows from the front. Sitting down at a concert takes so much fun and energy away from it. Sitting down through Pearl Jam in Brisbane was absolute shite. |

I've got a band that is heavily influenced by the Great band but have found it hard to find a permanent bass player & drummer. If any of u guys are musos & interested in playing original songs massively influenced by Oasis & good classic Rock with a Brit influence and a few interesting flavours then drop me a line. We've got a professional demo we can send out to you. But no timewasters Please!!!!

hey thats mad man. yeah im in a band too which has a brit pop feel to it. if u want, u can go to www.born.com.au to check it out. it uploaded two songs. my band name is south from here and the two songs are "how many people" which has a blur (sorry to say that name on this site) to it, and "featherman" which has a go let it out sound to it. tell me what u think! |

Whats ur role in the band scotty? The voice is really unique, like i heard a voice kinda similar to it a few months ago...and thought it sounded awesome....this might be way off the mark, but im gettin a stone roses feel to those 2 songs, which is sweet. And naturally an oasis touch to it of course lol.
How do you put songs up on that 'born' site? Im in a band atm, and we are about to do some recording as well, and would be keen to post some of the tunes on the site.

Hey astonvillascotty. If you're interested in recording something professionally try LoveHz Studios in Leicchardt. Michael Carpenter is the producer there , he's worked with the City Lights , Major , Lazarus Dog and heaps of others.
I'll drop u a line at your e-mail coz I wasn't able to hear the tunes on the born site. Let me know if you're gonna post any more songs in the 'blue section/notes" here or whatever it was.

I stumbled into hmv brisbane city today and it was there, all on its lonesome!! So i thought id make a purchase...was just real surprised thats all, was not expecting to see it!!

Yeah , I already posted the Triple J Net 50 info about a mth ago. I asked everyone to vote but I don't think anyone did - slack bastards!!!!. At that stage Lyla was No. 10 , I haven't checked lately but seeing as Triple J are being real vaginas and not playing it at all let alone promoting Oasis in any way I don't think it would've gotten any higher.
