Well , the final chart is in and it looks like here in the states Oasis came up short of the top ten. It's not all bad though. I just feel this album will pick up momentum when the tour starts and Let There Be Love gets released to radio. If you all remember WTSMG? did not pick up steam until Wonderwall was released and Oasis began their first part of the US tour in CA in 1995. The tour that kicks off here in a couple of weeks is their most important tour yet. Their can't be any shit like what happened in Brussels the other night. The solution to Liam's vocal problems is to bring back the acoustic set. Noel could do 3 to 4 songs and give Liam a rest. Also change the setlist . Noel could do SCYHO in the acoustic set he does a fine job on that one by himself .Throw out Bring it on Down , TUTS (replace with Keep the Dream Alive) , start the show with Lyla cause it is definitely the hardest song of them all to sing and maybe get rid of My Generation. Some other songs to replace them with is some one's where he doesn't have to scream over loud guitars. Such as GGTIA and Love Like a Bomb. Well anyway you know what I mean . We all have to keep the dream alive . I would like it to be like 1995-96 again when Oasis was like the Beatles coming over here . Later

I think its very good position, remember the last albums, this is the best position since 1997... just 8 years!!

the chart position isn't bad but i don't see them boosting up all of a sudden even with a great single like let there be love. certain bands are promoted to death and the songs are played on a loop no matter how shit they are. oasis arent' one of those bands and if i hear let there be love on my local radio i'll be happily surprised.
though heathen chemistry isn't half the album this one is, scyho is fucking amazing tune and i never heard a whisper about it. did mtv even play the video? i can see the same thing happening again.
i hope i'm very very very wrong though. this album deserves success and there's a number of songs that could be singles and blow away most of the shit on radio now.

I would definitely say that DBTT is a success in the states. Reaching #12 is a great accomplishment. The real challenge will be whether or not the band will be able to stay within the top 20.

Buy another copy and give it to a friend...would help keep sales up and get the songs out there at the same time.

It's not bad, but it definitely proves that Oasis are very much only a small blip on the music radar in the US now. I have to admit I got my hopes up with the success of Lyla, thought the album sales would be better, around 5th-8th on the billboard charts first week.

Ok lets be honest the album was promoted better than Hc and maybe SOTSOG but still the promotion wasn't all that big was it?
To get to #12 in America with not any major promotion backing DBTT up that is pretty amazing.
Now with these big dates in June and September and with let there be love possibly being the next single in America. I can see DBTT selling a decent amount providing that LTBT gets good airplay.
