I wanted at least top 10. That would have gotten a little bit of press. The big thing is if we keep it in the top 20 for this week. The last few albums that Oasis has released in the states just go down like the Hindenburg.

Considering how many artists are here, it is a very good debut. I think it would have come in a bit better if they had released the CD closer to when Lyla was released..and if it had gotten more radio play. Now Lyla is floundering on the singles charts...they need to release the next single too and get some momentum built up for the album..but the tour should help.

Yeah, it's time for a new single to be released. I feel if they can somehow work in a moderate hit single, the album will do well. #12 is not bad considering no TV appearances, no advertising (thanks again Sony!), and the fact that the last two albums have been slagged off.

considering that oasis gets zero press here it's not bad at all. i mean from my girlfriend and her friends they absolutely love lyla but are wondering how come they never see the video. i've personally never seen it on tv and i've only heard it on the radio twice and that was late night. i [probably listnen to less than an hour of fm radio a week so there's a chance they play it more though i doubt it.
it's really amazing how EVERY SINGLE PERSON i've exposed a good portion of oasis too has fallen in love with them. everyone knows wonderwall and champagne supernova but when you play them entire albums they're like, how come i never hear this song, or this one, and so on. one of my dad's favorite albums has become be here now and he's over 50.
this is good music and really who writes a catchier tune than noel gallagher? it's shocking to me that there isn't more promotion for them. is it oasis' fault or the record company? it's a shame because i know for a fact that if more people were exposed to the songs and not just the image of oasis and their past they could easily be huge again in the states.

I think the album will continue to sell. The band are on the road in north america next week, so that should continue the hype.

Oasis does get little press here, but saying none is a lie. I saw a commercial for DBTT, on MTV! Sounds strange, but its true!

DBTT in nr. 1 in Japan. Which is important becouse Japan is second market in size after US.
