Wow. That puts you up on my scale! You leaked an album and hurt the record sales! You are a true Oasis fan. I always put people who let kids on kazaa have an album without buying it. Thanks so much! And you're probably a liar too. you mean helped don't buy that riaa bulllshit.

Calm down kalas. Don't let these twats get to you And don't lose all faith. This is how it was in the early sixties!! Shit goes in cycles. This is a dry period. But yeah, it does piss me off. Corporate shit sucks. In highschool, good music still does travel. But only around the smart kids. There are always the fucking idiots that love mainstream rap and all that shit. But the smart kids are always talkin about the velvet underground, radiohead, oasis, dandy warhols, and all that in my school. They're not twats. Everybody's jealous of me having tickets to see Oasis later this month ;D So I haven't lost ALL faith. The record charts so differently. That's because the people who aren't too into music only hear the shit on the radio. Or the people who aren't fucking dedicated to it will like everything. I have this girl who I've told she liked shit music for about three years. slowly but surely she's being cured. She still like some shit bands--and for some reason supports that Twat Phil Colins. What a tool. Honestly though, it sucks when record companies spend all their money investing in research to see what kinds of genres instead for hearing about local bands and talent. A lot of bands that could have been the best band in the world may be overlooked all the time, and it's a fucking shame. But hey, Oasis are the best fucking band in the world. You know it, I know it. But their crown needs to be taken. The Libertines are broken up. Coldplay doesn't exactly have a wide enough variety to do it. And what sucks is nobody has the crown in America either. Not U2, or Coldplay or anyone. Music markets a mess.

This is a VALID thread. Spelling and typos, who cares ? I NEVER KNEW WE HAD THE GRAMMAR POLICE PATROLING HERE KALAS ? LOL ! and as for DIGS on ppl's writing style whatver, I tell ya, I got tons of LETTERS after my name, several degrees and certificates and licenses, and guess what.. I grow less and less impressed with ppl who ATTEMPT to put down other ppl and THINK they are better or WITTIER or more educated whatever.. skip the digs on ppl and getting personal... Lecture done.. Just speaking GENERALLY...
For all of us - "he who guards his tongue guards his soul" ... we should not always practice this though, keeping things in can also hurt us, it's knowing when to say something or not at all.. we ourselves can only answer that..

next time I go thru a Drive thru fast food joint i.e. McDonald's I'll be sure to order #4, the Weezer combo w. a large diet coke.
Then I'll walkover to Starbucks and get a Colplay latte- tall.
From there I'll go to the store and get a "50 cent" Candy bar.

the kids that buy music today are robots , whatever is promoted is sold (coldplay fifty jayz u2) back when i was a kid if a lp was good word of mouth in your high school went around and the lp took off..back in 78 when van halen opened for sabbath , they blew them off the stage within a week word was everywhere about this youn guitarist who was like jimmy page, and the VH legend was born.. today if its not packaged , promoted, and played on mtv kids wont buy it...it sickens me to the point where i am done with music man Ok...so going back to the thread....Yeah, today's music scene is depressing. There's always been crap music around, it's just that the quality bands don't reach the top anymore. The Beatles and Led Zeppelin were not only the biggest bands, they were also the best. Today no one cares about how great you are, just how great you look. Just sad

I've been reading the site for ages. mainly just agonizing with the rest of you about waiting for the new album. From all of the reading i finally got off my lazy arse and decided to register. One thing I do know is that no one is more passionate about Oasis than Kalas, doggboy, and Idle's Idol. So I am gonna have to side with them on this discussion.
As far as Oasis and the state of music, mainly here in the US, its all about that hit single and what have u done lately. Coldplay although I do love em are riding high off of Clocks still. Actually Coldplay I have no problem being huge. I just wish Oasis had the same clout as in the 90's. I mean there is nothing more rock and roll than watching an oasis gig.
I too have lost faith as well, Kalas, so u are not alone. lets just be happy we appreciate quality bands still and we always have the classics like the Beatles, Who, Doors, Zeppelin, Dylan, etc to fall back on. Music is definately not like it was in the 60's and 70's. Damn I wish we could get those times back again but it won't with this shite rap and metal bands
