Coldplay vs Oasis vs White Stripes
by Paul Cashmere
8 June 2005
The battle is on for one of the most fierce charts this year when next week new albums from Coldplay, Oasis and White Stripes go head to head.
All three albums have been eagerly anticipated.
This week Coldplay released their third album 'X&Y', Oasis released their sixth studio album 'Don't Believe The Truth' and White Stripes also released their sixth album 'Get Behind Me Satan'.
All three albums are selling well and according to the midweek charts, it is looking like Coldplay will be victorious with Oasis and White Stripes coming in at number two and three.
All three albums will push down the last three big ones - Black Eyed Peas 'Monkey Business', System of a Down 'Mezmerize' and Gorillaz 'Demon Days'.
The only other sizeable debut for next week will be Jem's 'Finally Awoken' but it will fall outside of the Top 10.

very good news =) see, im hoping if the album does well in australia, they'll tour there, and i have the possibility of going down to see them. it's a wild shot, but its more realistic then waiting for oasis to come to singapore -.-
