I bet some poeple are buying the other 3 again (apart from DBTT) b/c the setlist includes songs from those albums and they want to know them as they hear them.
No SOTSOG or BHN on the set list so maybe not being bought.
Just a small theory.
Oh also I just read NY times review of X&Y and it got SLAMMED!!!!!
review is posted on inet.

dbtt is opening up the music to new fans who didnt get around buying the album the first time because they were too young, too townie twat or on smack.
also people who lost their album and have forgotten bout them were reminded about oasis again and finally the smart buy or whatever they're called bins at the music stores are doing their job too.
the excact same thing happens with every mayor release btw.

Remember to write "bad by oasis standards" if you have something negative to say.
If you don't I might misunderstand like: this oasis tune is bad and therefore this u2 tune is better. Let me repeat "bad, but by oasis standards"
Make it crystal clear, If you don't I might start to hate you.

Talked to a friend on Sat night. He didn't know new Oasis was out so he was excited, anyway he raved about HC and I told him how a lot of Oasis fans don't like it.
I think it's great. I listen to that way more than BHN. Although I like it too. BHN has great songs but I never can play the album start to finish unless I have an hour and a half to kill.
Anyway. 4 in the top 75 amazing.

The reason people would still be buying the older albums is, for WTS and DM a good few would only have them on tape. CD players where very new and expensive around '95.

coldplay has 2 albums in the top 75 and U2 3 but oasis positions are far far more impressive

sorry to post like 5 in a row - but look oasis have 3 albums above the brand new motley crew album, and 4 above G4 - this is very very impressive

'Little James' is a good song, 'I Can See A Liar' is a great rocker. In fact I think if it was a B-side now (like Eyeball Tickler) everyone would go "Why is it not on the album?"
Instead of "period." you should have used "I think", don't you think?
