LTBL is weak as hell.....
It never goes anywhere.....the only part where it threaten is in the instrumental key change and then it dies out.
I can't believe people were comparing it to Champagne Supernova. It just doesn't come close.

He's not happy about Lyla being a single pick either, were there several of the other 55 songs or so he wanted to see on DBTT instead ?...one will never know

Let There Be Love is a beautiful, soulful classic and all this love for the tediously average demo is unbelievable.

I think it might be lacking in the verses department as Noel only has one and Liam has technically onmly one too as he repeates the first verse a second time but i like it..I think its also one of the more raido-friendly hits that might help Oasis re-achieve success here in the states...Lets putit this way...Its a good tune but Wonderwall it is not.

The first two minutes are amazing, up until Noel takes his voice up real high and it fades into the mix. Up until then it is brilliant. After that, ends up being a really good song, had the potential to be an absolute classic. The days of big guitar solos are gone though I guess, I need to get used to it.

i think the song is really good...but lacks a big chorus or something. kinda like what SCYHO has. a chorus that pulls you in. i remember reading that Liam wanted to make the song really big and Noel didn't want it as big. so the final cut was what they agreed on. so that's prolly why some people think it is missing something and some don't. they could have easily made it gigantic...but they chose not to do it that way. but i'm not going to sit here and say it's a bad song...because it's not. i just don't think the album sets you up for it....if that makes any sense.
- cheers !

the demo as a noel acoustic b-side it is a pretty good song, the version in the album isnt all that good, but at the same time it is now 'all around the world' either.

but my friends, non oasis fans, who heard the album told me that their favourite song was lyla and that ltbl was going to be like little by little or scyho or even wonderwall and be a classic.. dont think it will, but it's a lovely song

I'm getting more and more exited to see how this tune will fare on the charts. It's probably not the new wonderwall. Not enough mass hysteria right now for that to happen. Maybe if mike flowers did a cover

I can't believe you guys all dig this song so much I think it's just a mediocre tune with a nice line or two, dressed up musically to be a "serious, reverential" type song, with the Phil Spector style production, old Lennon Piano sounds, reverb on Liam's voice. It's a mediocre tune dressed up to better than the actual song is.
