This is Oasis best album in ten years, it doesnt have a weak song, and even HC beats it from NME point of view, and now i see X&Y review and it gets a 9. Dont get me wrong i like Coldplay, just makes me sick that people like those vaginas from NME just as they see its an Oasis Album, they put a bad review,, i read reviews from pepople that havent even heard the damn album,, for example they mention Liam doing vocals on idle,, what the hell...

Well NME made themselves look dumb when they 'purposely pointed out one of Noel's lyrics and slammed it and actually got it wrong. They made mention of 'you found God in a paperbag' from Mucky Fingers and hammered him on that when it is actually 'PAPERBACK' which makes much more sense and has much more meaning.
I know we all sing wrong lyrics until we find out what they are but to point them out as garbage and get it WRONG is bad reviewing.
Also 6/10?? I mean that is saying it's their worst cd.
You know it's been:
Oasis vs. The tail end of Grunge (94) Oasis vs. Suede & Stone Roses (94-95) Oasis vs. Blur (95-96) Oasis vs. Radiohead, The Verve (97-98) Oasis vs. Travis(98-00) Oasis vs. Boy Bands, Pop Music (00-02) Oasis vs. Coldplay(02-05)
Notice one constant??? Now this has all been media driven and Oasis is cordial with half of them)
DBTT is for then fans. Their won't be the one pop hit for the U.S. market I think to sell a million but a gold record would be nice. That would require 350,000 more people to buy this cd than HC. So it will take a massive tour, marketing and mainly one thing. A hit single.

DBTT deserves far more than a 6 no doubt, just dont take it out on X & Y or you'll be giving what the media wants, a one or the other situation

If NME want to give it a 6 that's there prerogative but to have oasis so soon on the front cover smacks of hypocrisy and it stinks, its just trying to have it both ways. Maybe they will try to rewrite history as they initially panned MG and it was very lowly rated when it was released and BHN was given a 9 but now they deride it.
Nme giving CP 9 is just typical of them. l I have liked what I have heard so far from X&Y (it doesn't do it for me like oasis can but its ok) but I fear a BHN type imlplosion for CP. RS and other reviews I have read in The Times and in Australia say its OK but a bit dull, all tricky production but not much underneath.

DBTT should definitely get 9. Haven´t heard X & Y yet, but one finnish music magazine called "Rumba" gave it X & Y 3/5. Reviewer said: "Oasis made Be here now, and Coldplay made X & Y". So he thinks that X & Y is just same kind of mistake than Be here now was. He said that X & Y´s songs are too long etc..I still hope that X & Y would be good album, I like coldplay. But could it be better than DBTT? Well..hard to believe.

I buy NME every week, does kinda take the piss. Im sure they dont like Oasis. we all know that the new album is amazing! and for the people who have heard X&Y personaly i think is is a brillaint album some great songs but Don't Believe The Truth smashes it to bits

fooking knobheads but noticed they mention you have to give it a few listens before you really like it which its stupid really you either like the album or you don't ... i don't have to do that with oasis lps i like all their albums granted there are a few songs one can do without but you even listen to them in the rare ocasion and said hey good song ... well is the nme so who can take it seriously anymore

With Oasis Mucky Fingers was first song in a long time it took me a while to like. Everything else I loved from the beginning; I had TIOBI in my head on the day the album leaked, from listening to the clips so much. ;D

I brought both today, love DBTT but (and I have always been a coldplay fan) X&Y is so Boring, its DULL and too long! It just goes on and on and on. I like the single and track 3 (must be another single) but the rest is just well produced self indulgent filler. Some songs should stop but they are extended past their sell by date by 3 mintes or more. Try humming most of the tunes, there is nothing to hum, no tunes. I find myself thinking of other things and I find 2 songs have gone by maybe which I haven't even heard!. Must be out of touch as people are obviously lapping this up...
