This sounds like so many different songs...
Most like this old song I used to listen to back in the day, can't forget the name or the artist, but i can remember some of the lyrics...
Verse They made up their minds, and they started packing They left before the sun came up that day
Chorus Everyone the knows the road that they walk on is paved with gold It's always summer they never get cold They wanted the highway, they're happier there today
That's all I can remember. Anyone got a clue?

Um, yeah, nice try there. Oasis ripped off Fastball? Not only can I not imagine Noel, Liam, Gem, or Andy listening to Fastball or any radio station that plays Fastball, but even feeling inclined to say, "Wow, I think that's great! Let's use it." No disrespect to Fastball, but it's like The Beatles ripping-off Blur, or something.

the opening sequence is a dead ringer for Summertime by The Corrs with Bono, imo

I never said Oasis ripped off Fastball - I just merely answered the dude's question on what song he was thinking of.
BTW - Harsh Light of Day is an amazing album you should have in your collection if you like rock

Fastball was a shit band from Texas who had one fucking hit the U.S. that is now a Lite FM Radio staple. They should never be mentioned in these forums with the likes of Oasis,Coldplay, foo's and the rest.

Hmmmm, that sounds like logic Oasis bashers use against Oasis... Actually they had two hits off of that album - Out of My Head also got a lot of spin. And neither song is the best one off the album - but that song is about just doing whatever the fuck you want, so it wouldn't be a good radio tune. Their last album was pretty good, but the album before that is easily better than SOTSOG or Heathen Chemistry(Harsh Light of Day - it's worth checking out). Pssst - it also had a small radio hit on it, You're an Ocean. Since they have two singers in the band who share duties a lot, it's probably pretty difficult for you haters to recognize a song you like as Fastball...

Oh, and I don't think anything on Harsh Light of Day would be considered 'light FM staple'
That's like saying Oasis would be a light FM staple based on Wonderwall and SCYHO

Sprague: the album both of those are on is "All the Pain Money Can Buy," which is really good as well. I just prefer Harsh Light of Day(which is a rocker big time)
