I always hear people talk about how Liam has improved as a song writer, which is obviously true. But while listening to DBTT it just hit me, from HC to DBTT Noel has improved, or at least got back closer to his best form by a HELL of a lot! I mean just looking at the tracks he sings himself. I mean the likes of Mucky Fingers, Part of the Queue and The Importance of Being Idle are just SOOOOOOOO much better than Little By Little and Force of Nature. So Noel has definitely got better on this album too in my opinion.

I heard that the only reason the last two albums weren't as good as the others is because Noel's CD player broke. He just got a new one for Christmas.

I know Noel still has written some amazing songs over the last few albums. Gas Panic, Hindu Times, SCYHO, WDIAGW etc. But from start to finish I think the writing has definitely improved for DBTT from all writers involved.
With Noel I suppose its hard to say he's "improved" considering this is a guy who's written the likes of Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, Live Forever, DLBIA etc. I think Andy, Gem & Liam have improved and Noel has recaptured some of his old form!
