This is getting on my nerves...one negative after-effect of oasis finally being promoted properly here in the states, for the first time since Morning Glory, is that there are ten different versions of the album floating around now!! A few, a tleast...
DualDisc - no idea which extra tracks this includes or whether or not the DVD material is the same as on the british 2-disc release w/ a separate DVD.
British 2-cd release: amazon.co.uk has this as a regular album, plus an extra DVD disc. What's on this disc? Same as the dualdisc release?
Regular studio release, 11 tracks, cheapest one
Japanese release - 2 extra tracks but retails for $47.99...eil.com has it in the $50's...the Heathen Chemistry equivalent was somehwere in the high $20's or $30's. why so expensive this time??
I'll probably end up buying 2 different versions of the album, the dual disc, and the Jap release somewhere down the line if the price ever comes down (gotta find it locally first as well). Can anyone confirm/deny that the DVD info on the 2-cd british release is the same stuff on the dualdisc?

Just buy the album as cheaply as possible. DVD is rubbish as others have rightly said, nothing special at all just a cash-in to make another £7 for Sony! Japanese release is very tempting though and like you I will get it as soon as I find it 'reasonably priced'.

Just buy the regular CD. All B-Sides will eventually be released and up for download. The Dualdisc is made of stuff already seen.

get the normal CD... the dual disc has special encoding and won't play the CD side on all players. however if you buy DVD audio 'cos you are listening to music over your surround sound setup then the dual disc is worth it as the entire CD is also on the DVD side in sweet 5.1 surround encoding - sounds fucking top when played like that!!!
