Paste Magazine's recent issue has a pretty standard article on Oasis and Noel. But tucked away in the Contributors section is this note about the author of the article:
Tom Lanham...couldn't believe it three years ago when Oasis mastermind Noel Gallagher informed him he'd been so impressed with Tom's "slow me down, Lord" keychain he'd spied in one of their earlier interviews that he'd written a song about it. No joke, he swore. Warped, in perfect Gallagher style, into "Lord, Don't Slow Me Down," the track almost made the cut for the group's new album. "It's finished, recorded, mixed, and mastered," Noel earnestly testifies. "But because I'm singing it, the balance would have been too great of me singing songs on the record. But let me tell ya, man, it's one of the best things, like The Who, The Yardbirds and the Jeff Beck Group combined, and it's got two drum solos on it!"

if its that good i hope they save it for the next album and don't use it as a b-side.
I remember years ago there was a song noel was talking about called slow. maybe this is that tune's final evolution.

I kind of hope they stop using the best songs as B-sides too.

i just hope they don't bring out another double-a side again as they did with littlebylittle/sheislove... the last singles from their last album has been a right rip, especially the dvd's with the bootleg standard demos (although quality demos)... bring back the days when they managed 3 b-sides per single again... have them tracks on the dvd version also so we got a fair choice what one to buy.

i think they should just start putting out 6 song EPs whenever they feel like it and forget about the chart rubbish. i mean it's fun to add things up and say things like "wow oasis have 230 number one singles" but i'd rather they just feel like they can do whatever they want, which they can if they don't resign with sony... oasis should be a indie band 100%--- none of this bogus "we're indie here but not there" stuff. one of the larger US indie labels would be happy to have them.
