right im listening to Heathen Chemistry right through now, and its mega, must say. Loads of songs which i didnt like are mega{she is love}, imo i prefere this to DBTT

I Love HC as well, very, very under rated, but better than DBTT? I'm not too sure about that.  DBBT is atleast 8-10 songs deep. HC is more like 6-8 tunes deep.  But point taken. Heathen Love Forever. |

well heathen chem has stop crying your heart out and hindu times to name just 2 and they are better than everysingle new tract - odds are my opinion will change

Fair enough mate thats ur view but apart from a few songs i think heathen chemistry is just GOOD, and thats only coz its an oasis record. Before DBTT i thought HC was GREAT but i find it hard listening to songs like SCYHO and LBL now without getting bored! DBTT has breathed fresh exicting life into oasis. IMO

as i said i will get bored with HC in about 20 mins, - ive listened to it completely twice on the run now and im enjoying myslef - nice listening happy LP

Last night I compared the two albums track by track and came up with the following conclusions:
1 - Turn Up The Sun vs The Hindu Times - Almost too close to call, both "classic" Oasis tunes, rocky, Liams voice is mega on both, I love both songs, but The Hindu Times is, well, rock n roll in a bottle, like I said, too close to call.
2 - Force of Nature vs Mucky Fingers - Two good Noel songs, for me Mucky Fingers is slightly better, but I like them both really.
3 - Lyla vs Hung in a Bad Place - The most overrated track on DBTT vs the most underrated on Heathen Chemistry, Lyla is more radio friendly, but HIABP is better for me.
4 - Love Like a Bomb vs SCYHO - SCHYO by miles.
5 - The Importance of Being Idle vs Songbird - Easily The Importance..., Songbirds a nice tune, Idles a great one!
6 - Meaning of a Soul vs Little By Little - LBL is one of my fav Oasis tunes.
7 - GGTIA vs A Quick Peep - Any proper song beats an instrumental for me, unless its FITB vs Little James or something...
8 - Part of the Queue vs Probably All In the Mind - I really like All in the mind, but POTQ is fresh and I love it.
9 - Keep The Dream Alive vs She Is Love - KTDA for me.
10 A Bell WIll RIng vs Born on a DIfferent Cloud - Both mega songs, BOADC is amazing for me.
11 - Let There Be Love vs Better man - hate better man, LTBL anyday

i don't like HC much. just don't get it i guess. DBTT is miles better imo.

For me this is already one of my favourite albums, after just one listen. I think HC and SOTSOG were alright but I hardly evey play them now

Heathen Chem has The Hindu Times, Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Little Bye Little 3 stunning oasis songs-but the rest of the album is poor enough so fairplay

As I said in another thread..
HC showed promise and did have MEGA songs (SCYHO, THT and LBL) but DBTT is far better!
A quick peep? Betterman? (probably) all in the mind? All fillers IMO.You can add FON to the list if you feel that way inclined but I do kinda like it.
Just realise DBTT is thankfully lacking these 'lazy, uninspired moments' and I love it for this fact! The boys have given us 120% this time around!!!!
