Honestly I don't remember any hype at all for HC...... at least nowhere near what they're doing for DBTT. SOTSOG was moderate -- I saw a few shop posters and GLIO got a token amount of MTV airplay, but it seems the critics (and nowadays it seems they've multiplied beyond belief) have a lot more to say about it, even though a lot of plubications are viewing this album as a "comeback".

Yeah, there was NO, and I mean, NO hype or promotion for HC here in the States. I hear 'LYLA' on the radio at least once a day, sometimes more. There's also a Coors Light commercial on radio fearturing Lyla which gets played on sports stations (my dad heard it on his way home from work) as well as rock stations. Even my non-Oasis fans-friends have been asking me about the new album after hearing or reading about it. Good buzz indeed.

The buzz/radio airplay for WTSMG and BHN were huge, since then almost nothing, although GLIO got a bit of airplay. This album has gotten the best reviews stateside since WSTMG. BHN and SOTOG got pretty bad reviews, HC got a little bit better reviews but no radio airplay and little promotion.

my towns radio station has lyla as the #1 most played song, check it out www.thewolf.ca/playlist/i'm so proud and that commercial with lyla gets played every 3 minutes. "the trees are the same, d'ya know what i mean? man? (you suck!)" yea ironically the only really bad reviews are coming from the uk!

I've read 2 reviews so far in the US. Blender gave the album 3 out of 5 stars. Spin gave it an A- (very nice review)

I've heard more Oasis on the radio - Lyla and older stuff - in the past week than I have since Be Here Now came out. It's great to hear Wonderwall on the airwaves again.
