i might be wrong but that gig broadcast from the 22nd of may liams voice sounds shithouse especially in cigs and alcohol. I wish he would do somethin about it hey its been getting shitter and shitter every year a little raspy ok but when it means that he can hardly bust out a decent note that is crap.

I agree Reeny, I think he needs to cut down on his smoking and drinking. Then, see a vocal teacher. But his voice seems to be getting worse and worse every tour.

I think he sounds better on some tracks as compared to others. Still, I think his voice has sounded better in the past.

Liam's voice has definitely changed. I think sometimes the more raspy Liam vocal works well (tunes like Eyeball Tickler or the rockers) but on others yeah, it sometimes sounds a bit wrong, or too rough. I was watching my Live By The Sea DVD earlier tonight and I have to admit I was struck by how much better his voice was back then. Not a strained vocal chord or a note out of place. I know that was 10 years ago, but still, I miss it.

Absolutley Agree with epiphone 335. I like A Bell Will Ring in paticular the song is growing on me . I think his voice is sounding better than ever. It seems like it just takes a few songs to kick in . With Noel singing 3-4 times a night it will help give his voice a rest in between songs .

quiting on his smokes won´t do anything for him, it´s too late, his voice has changed i guess thats ok at some point, but not being able to reach high notes, that´s not ok, ill wait to see him live to judge..

I think that the smoking has affected Liam. Not in terms of the actual vocal. I think the chage in vocal relates to aging, which is cool and natural, you can hear the difference. Smoking comes into it because of breathing IMO. I think he's getting caught short of breath alot more than he used to which leads to that sort of pushing it at times.
As for the high notes, his voice has went from angelic type in 92-94 to what it is now, I don't call that too much of anything, I call that being 21 and being early 30's.
He's still far better than most live and unbeatable on his day.

I don't really notice the change so much in studio recordings as I do in live performances, where it just sounds a little congested/raspy, but it's still very enjoyable.
He was excellent on the Late Late show.

he sounds amazing on Champagne Supernova from the Clapham Grand gig. i'd have to disagree man. Whilst i think some of the performnces on DBTT are top notch, live he is just awful. Really really bad.

HE GOT OLDER. He was a kid with a higher voice, you can tell from the interviews and stuff as the move on from year to year...he was just a young hooligan when the band started and by 2000 he was thrust right into the middle of adulthood. Noel did all the drugs and smokes all the cigarettes that Liam does and tell me how his voice is doing...huh? Did your dad sound the same at 21 and at 35?

listen to the olympia boot man..... i thought glasto was disgustingly bad but i cant find a damn thing wrong with his voice in most of the new boots..... i think he sounds great man..... if youve got the DM DVD watch the live performances..... he totally sounds younger but on some of them hes just shouting, lately he's really been singing and it shows its really a better vocal performance in some ways
