I think, IOBI is a good song, but not a summer single. A bell will ring or Love like a bomb could be better.

Is it possible that LTBL is the next single in another market, like the US or Australian markets or something? The list of songs/videos from Oasis albums that were "singles" in the US (ie released to radio and music video outlets) but not in the UK is pretty long:
Rock N' Roll Star Morning Glory Champagne Supernova Don't Go Away Where Did It All Go Wrong
Okay, so I guess it's not that long, but there ya go.
And doesn't June 13th seem kinda early for the next single? That's less than 3 weeks away. They would have been promoting the heck out of it already.
I haven't heard the album yet, but when I do, I'll be listening to LTBL and TIOBI as potential singles.

Honestly in the North American market (Not just U.S., how it performs in Canada is also of importance) LTBL would be a much better single. It just has that appeal to a wider market then simply "rock stations".
TIOBI is one of those songs that is truly amazing, however it does not appeal to a wide audience. So honestly when you're in North America, singles should be handled so the greatest number of people get interested in the band.

i dont know about all the Joe Whiley stuff. but i just read a magazine that said oasis was shooting the video for their next single 'let there be love.' it sounds like idle would be a better choice. hopefully the magazine got wrong info or something. but yea....you might be rite topgun.

can't say much about which song i guess it'll be the next single cause i haven't heard them, but that's a great pic if its a tossup between let there be love and importance of being idle you seriously won't be dissapointed either way... so its a win win situation

Idle shouldn't be the next single. It should definitely be Let There Be Love.

I remember Noel said something like: 'There is one obvious first single on DBTT, sung by me, but Liam thought that people might think he is out of the band or something'
I say TIOBI
Thank u very much
