whilst listening to radio1 at work playing the new album tracks i made sure i cranked them up full on the stereo! to my supprise people who at best could be described as indifferant to oasis were agreeing that the new stuff was good. the thing with these new songs is that they are upbeat & catchy pop songs & people dig it. it will take probably 2 more singles but dbtt will catch on big time. (think greenday last year!)

The last LP was shit?!!! How can you say that? There were many great songs. That album was more emotional than defintely maybe, but was still top. ALthough i dont agree with what you said themonkeyman, i defend to the death your right to say it. Heathen Chemistry was great, but it did not get enough recognition. I hope the new album is as good or even better!

I think the reason why people think that DBTT is so much better than HC is because almost every song off of DBTT could be a single, whereas that wasn't the case on HC. As I explained on another thread, what sank HC in my opinion was the fact that there are a few great songs on the album- - - but also some bad ones as well. DBTT is consistant all the way through, you're not reaching for the "skip" button as you were for HC.

With that being said, SCYHO, LBL and SB happen to be three of my favorite Oasis songs.
