During last nites interview on bbc1 Liam mentions that he thinks it shouldn't take more than 2 months for recording the next album and that they 'll probably stick with Dave as a producer again !

Possibility of a 2006 release?
They had 66 songs. Minus DBTT and B-sides there maybe over 45 or so left for another.
Would be awesome.

i think 2006 is a little ambitious, after listening to the interview again i take it to mean that they should be able to record an album in a couple of months not necessarily the next one just in general although i could be wrong

We haven't heard this one yet and we're talking about the NEXT one already!
Well, okay, SOME of us haven't heard this one yet…
But, since we are, if we see album #7 before 2008, I'll be stunned.

I would be extremely happy if Sardy was back for another.
I draw similarities between Andy & Gem and Sardy.
Andy & Gem came in and got into HC, but they still din't really have that input, that voice, and on SOTSOG they picked up someone elses work and played it live.
A bit like Sardy picked this album up from the scrapped sessions and production changes, I'd love to see him go into an Oasis album head first with this album behind him. I think that, coupled with the new label and the songs retained for the new label we could see a special effort from all on the next album.
edit: just keep in mind, noel was all about a swift release after HC. It's been 3 years, 2006 might not happen.

BRING. BACK. OWEN. MORRIS!!
People say bringing Owen back means any new material would sound just like the old. I say that is bollocks! Owen is just a top producer who knew how to get the best out of the elements he had (ESPECIALLY Liam's voice, which has never sounded better than with Owen). The production on DM is not the same as on MG - compare BIOD with Wonderwall, for example. The production on MG is not the same as BHN - compare the understatement of CNS to MBM. The new album sounds great and all, but I think the band has never sounded better than they did with Owen Morris at least mixing the records.

Calling for Owen Morris to come back is like the Bulls wanting the 90's Jordan or Man Utd wanting the 90's Cantona. It doesn't exist anymore, The Jordan, Cantona and Morris of today can't cut what they did 10 years ago.

What I'm saying is that Owen Morris, as incredible as he was, fits into that timeframe. The band has a newer sound, with different members and different aspirations than in 1992-1994. I don't think he can bring anything to the group in 2005. Just my opinion.
I'm not saying Oasis can't cut it, but more that he wouldn't on a 2006/7 Oasis album. To me it became apparent that he was running out of ideas. Which is fair enough, he worked on some of the greatest albums of all time.
