I think that the original Let there Be Love/ Its a crime ( the demo) I think that its much better than the new one on DBTT the new one is too slow and i dont really like the all over sound of the new words - the original words sound better and the middle eight or whatever it is has not changed for better.
Though, the new one´s good too.

i have to disagree with you the new 1 is better but i think it is such a good song lyrically and melodywise but still could of been better , i think it lacks a george type solo.

You're right. The old chorus is much better than the new one, and there should be two choruses.

I mean that the demo version should have been done with all the production like the new one. With all the other instruments.
But now ive started to get used to the new one - so i like it better than at first.

I personally like both.. From demo to actual song the WHOLE thing virtually changed but I like the changes. It wasn't really a Liam-song at first so I was surprised/impressed when I heard the final version with Liam on vox. Noel should have had more lines IMO and maybe backed Liam up in the chorus like in Aquiesce, my generation and some might say. Now that would have been Awesome! I also think this should NOT be the second single, maybe the last (4th) single. IOBI would be my pick!

I prefer the new version but I'd have to say that even that isn't one of my favourites on the album.

The album version is better because it has some uniqueness to it. With Liam on the verses and Noel on the bridge. So far this and Mucky Fingers are my two favorite tracks on the album.

I personally think the demo sucks, that its not a crime part was stupid. Im holding out listening to the album until tuesday, but lyrically the album version is far superior.

Now I have changed my mind. The new let there be love is as good as the demo version or maybe even better.
A Great song.

I fink that this new version, destroyed "its a crime." the possible reason why the old chorus is better is because we are used to it. but personally i think that Let There Be Love, is an amazing tune and well worth the wait.
Hopefully Noel will play an acoustic at manchester

Hopefully Noel will play an acoustic at manchester Yeah, that would be be great!! Personally I think the new version is better but is still lacking that certain magic something. A decent guitar solo would have been excellent, that's for sure. And I also agree about having Noel and Liam join in with the "Let there be love"s on the final choruses, maybe trading them Some Might Say-style. I know Noel wanted to not do the song as a "flag waver", but that's kind of what it is, so they should have just done it rather than try to make it something small annd intimate all the way through. It could have grown majestically!

i do like the new version loads, if i never heard the original i'd probably like it more i suppose... as it still feels a tad slow to me as a real lighter-waver though compared to the original tempo... but i still say noel produces some of his best vocals in the orignal version... the original lyrics were already more or less good enough... yeah i also agree about noel joining in for the end chorus with liam, would've sounded cool... can't wait to hear any of noels live acoustic solos of this song. i'd like to hear a second studio demo for this song, with just noel singing it again... and slightly speeded up again with the same upbeat tempo of the original... maybe b-side for a future single, as they've been doing with demos since the last album.
