im one of thoughs who was slightly disappointed by the new album but it has grown on me and im more of an oasis head from 94 - 95 period 'def maybe' my fav so i my fav tracks on this album are 'turn up the sun' 'keep the dreams alive' 'part of the queue' just cos i think oasis are better doing more rocky tunes im not so keen on liam's tunes cos thats all he does is acoustic tunes that are lets be honest not classic, 'guess god thinks im abel' is a weak track i mean noel said the last 30 secs will blow your mind but i waited and nothing but a 10 sec thing at the end which my brother could easily duplicate on his keyboard , im sorry but the album is good but could of been better with liams songs off maybe apart from 'meaning of soul' which is good but the other 2 are just b-sides, not close to noels b-sides or gem's 'eyeball tickler' which i can't believe they left off, about liam's b-sides im asking you if you like them cos they're ok but do you really think they're album marerial?

Whilst i luuuuuuuv liam songs on the album i do wonder how many of these summer-feel acoustic tunes he can come out with. And also, wasnt it Liam who used to get pissed off with noel when he stated writing acoustic sounding songs for Morning Glory?

totally agree............. meaning of soul is fucking quality and Abel aint that good at all, however llab is suprisingly catchy and does work as a decent tune for the album i think.

Ok everyone loves the first 2 albums more than the rest(well most people do anyway) and i don't think oasis will ever replicate those 2 classics, But on the flipside i don't want them to try and make an album similar to those. They've all grown up 10 years or so since those days which in my opinion reflects in there music of today and for me "Oasis" have produced a classic in DBTT, And in no small part liam made a big contribution to that when he wrote those 3 tunes, There bloody brilliant songs especially GGTIA! Great melody, great Chorus, Great vocals, great Lyrics(which actually mean something). Not having a go at all m8 just stating my opinion, and as we all know everyones opinion differs considerably and thats what makes the world what it is.
Cheers

yes mate i value your opinion and take no offence and agree with you i would'nt want them to do an album like the first 2 but i feel 2 of liam's songs are weak or could of been better, i mean lets be honest noel's b-sides are better. i just think like the guy above 'tuts' 'tiobi' 'ktda' 'abwr' 'mos' are great i like meaning of soul but liam's other efforts are not bad but no more than b-sides when you look at oasis' back catalogue , they would'nt get on be here now.

Yeah cool, but me and my mates(who are oasis fans) we had a very serious debate ;D in the pub about our fave DBTT tracks and we all decided we'd write 3 tracks down on a piece of paper and reveal them. The genral consensus among us was: 1: GGTIA 2: TIOBI 3: ABWR (Although a couple said TUTS) I think when it comes to oasis theres so much that people can agree/disagree on its fantastic, sign of a great band in my eyes. Cheers doggboy

I hapen to think that GGTIA is the best song Liam's penned to date... I especially like the "no one can break us" part with all the ahhhhhhhhs in the background, very Beatlesque ("Lovely Rita")
The ending can catch you off guard the first time you listen to it though, LOL So a few weeks ago I'm driving in my car listening to it for the first time, volume cranked, and when the ending kicks in I swear I almost jumped right through my sun roof LMAO
