Well, the topic of the thread says it all. So far we're a few gigs into the tour and nothing acoustic from our man Noel, does this mean we will have to endure a tour without Noel manning the acoustic guitar for the encore? Personally, I think Noel's acoustic set is the best part of the show; I remember when I saw them last time around in Toronto in 2002 in Noel did 'Wondewall', it was the highlight of my fuckin year man, still stands out as my favorite gig for that single song alone. Perhaps they haven't done the acoustic set thus far because the gigs have been in clubs, but I don't know if that merrits a good reason. What do you guys think? and is it just me, or has Noel stopped switching guitars between songs; it seems like all he's been doing since Glastonbury is playing that single red Gibson, am I the only one who finds that odd?

I hope so... I was also there at the Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto 2002, that was an amazing concert, Wonderwall brought chills to me, it was really special to me, so beautiful!! it's not out of question I guess, but that would only happen if [fingers crossed] Liam's not co-operating, Noel really wants to show off, or Liam needs a longer break between songs go Noel!!

I really hope he is going to do it as well. I've never seen them live, but on the live DVD's some of my favorite parts are his acoustic sets. especially when he did Talk Tonight and Morning Glory. The reason they are doing the small clubs is to warm up and see what works best and to get Zak knowing the songs better. So I guess there's really no need for him to do something acoustic. He doesn't need to practice it. but that's my two cents. let's keep our fingers crossed !!
- cheers !

I would love to see a Noel acoustic set. Last time I saw one was the Be Here Now tour. I'd love to see an orchestra at MSG as well. Make it a full production.

yes he will be playing an acoustic set. Some songs include I Stand Alone, Stop the Clocks, and I want to live my dream in a record machine.

I seriously doubt there will be an acoustic set, but you never know. Keep your fingers crossed.

I am also a massive fan of Noel's 3 or 4 song acoustic set, they really show Oasis in a diverse light and not just a big electric guitar rock 'n' roll band.
Sadly i don't think we will see one though. With the post-album release tour being mostly being 'open-air' gigs i think there is even less chance of an acoustic set from Noel as he tends to shy away from them now when playing out door gigs.

So at least we will have the mere excitement of a possible Noel acoustic... the anticipation of "maybe THIS is the night"... you won't know if/when it's coming... i'll go nuts if it happens (at the Tweeter Center) though!

Hope they will sack Songbird though Man, you crazy! Songbird is the nuts! I think we will inevitably get some solo Noel acoustic stuff, purely cos Liam's voice is bound to go at least once or twice on the tour, so they fill the gigs up with Noel's acoustic slot. Personally I love them, wish they did it more often. And it wouldn't have to be just Noel now - get Gem and Andy out there playing as well!

I don't think they'll need an acoustic set. Between 'little by little,' 'importance,' 'don't look back,' & 'mucky fingers' Liam's got plenty of time to rest.

Just thought of something... The Tweeter Center gig is right after the mega MSG show... and it's expected that they will pull out ALL the stops for MSG. With that being said, I think that it is possible that at The Tweeter Center, either 1) Liam's voice will need a rest after going all out at MSG, -OR- 2) They will want to change things up a bit and throw in the acoustic set at the TC, because they know that there will probably be a lot of die-hard fans that will be at both MSG and TC gigs. Just a hypothesis. Let's see what happens!
