This is awesome!! Spin magazine is a hugely influential, widely-read American music magazine. Of course Coldplay's album was reviewed first, got a very good review, "only" a B+. Oasis got an A- from an American music magazine? I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. Also, there is a five-page article/interview with Liam and Noel from another writer, who also praises the album as Oasis' best in ten years. I feel so good for Oasis. They're finally getting the respect they so rightly deserve and have earned!!

someone should send a copy of the review to Maxim... not that I ever liked Spin in particular but at the moment I have no problem using theirs as a legitimate review to show what a bunch of fucking morons they are over at Maxim

My Chemical Romance is on the cover and to the other question, Oasis are the third review behind Coldplay and the White Stripes. (In case you're wondering, the White Stripes got a B)

time to see rollingstone give dbtt 5 stars No one even reads that rag anymore. But you know what pisses me off about RS is, they give Be Here Now 4 stars, the READERS of the magazine voted it the BEST ALBUM of 1997, and then they do a feature on...MATCHBOX TWENTY for their year-end issue (when they had the results of that reader poll). Think about the fact that OK Computer and Urban Hymns came out that year, along with a host of other decent albums, and BHN was voted as the reader's choice best of 97. And RS is pissed about the cover shoot that Liam & Noel walked out on so they haven't given Oasis any respect since then. I won't be surprised if they give DBTT 3 stars or less. But even if they do give it 4 stars, look what's getting four stars in RS these days? I mean who cares? They're the biggest sellout rag of 'em all.

Can someone post the spin review? Even if it's just scanned hi-res pics of the actual pages in the magazine. I don't see it on spinmagazine.com and a google search came up empty. Is it in the shops yet...? I'll take a look at lunch.

Rolling Stone is a piece of crap, but alot of people read it. Would be nice to get a rave review from, though it's probably unlikely due to the volatile relationship between them and the Gallaghers.

I got a lifetime subscription to Rolling Stone so it would be nice to see them give Oasis a 5 star review. It would be quite funny though, as Oasis has rarely been featured in the magazine as of late. Yet in every issue, there's something new about Coldplay. That really pisses me off. I hope Oasis blows everyone off their unexpecting feet once this album is released!!
