Play spot the influences if you want, or get caught up in Liam Gallagher's most energised vocal in ages. Noels songwriting is relaxed - showing his love of Soundtrack Of Our Lives, then distilling it into anthem heaven.
A further good sign for the album is the brutal and unusually brief Eyeball Tickler, their best b-side since Let's All Make Believe. Mind you the Lennon pastiche on the Liam penned Won't Let You Down is woeful
4/5

His singing is awful and like the review says - its a pastiche I don't agree with you there, I keep in mind that they are going for the Lennon sound and so I'm not irritated by the effect over Liam's voice! Must say it grew on me after a number of listens and I like Eyeball Tickler better, but I don't think WLYD is rubish!
