In The Sun's Something For The Weekend section. I've typed out the review:
3/5
This catchy rocker is fairly standard Oasis issue with singalong chorus of the kind they've been churning out for years.
It's a dead cert for number 1 but then singer -songwriter Noel Gallagher is telling anyone who will listen Lyla is only the seventh best track on the long-awaited album - which at least means the album should be a cracker.
But even though Lyla represents nothing new, the heavy drums and pounding rythm section guarentee fans will love it - and will be joining in - on live dates.
Noel's not convinced. He says: "If it was up to the band, Lyla wouldn't be the single. It was the powers that be that decided the first single. It's a scandal that as the leader of this group I don't get to pick what our fans hear first."
Thje album, Don't Believe The Truth, is out on May 30. Can't wait.
