And I do really really like the album. Its too short.
Turn up the Sun Love Like a Bomb Meaning of the Soul Guess God Thinks Im Able (This one especially sounds like its going to rock and then it just ends)
All of these songs sound like theyre going to get into something great and when youre just about ready to explode, it ends anti-climactically. Difference between a good album and a great album in my opinion.
Saying that, I think the live versions will be excellent. Anyway, just my .02

But then, if Be Here Now was short people would say "some of the songs could have been longer" etc, its a no-win situation really

Yeah DBTT is the same length as most other albums. I think most the tunes are perfect lengths

Yeah, ever since Be Here Now they have tried to limit the 8 minute songs. I like the length of the album, although I agree GGTIA could just be massive, instead its shows a glimpse of Liam's greatness.

One of the defining aspects of oasis are their long tracks. They aren't afraid to do a 3 min song or 7 min song

Just my opinion

short is sweet - simple as
look at revolver by the beatles or the la's debut. Both of them a more songs that DBTT but barely scrape 1/2 an hour in terms of total length. I'm glad oasis have gone back to 3 mins of perfect pop

my gripe with the album is that fact that it seems so disjointed. by that I mean you've got contributions from everyone in the band, each with different writing styles, writing what I think are mediocre songs. Let's face it, Oasis is Noel's writing, and Liam's singing. always has been and always will be. No respect to Gem and Andy, but I took to Oasis for Noel's songs, which were cleverly written pop songs. I can almost tell from listening once to DBTT who wrote which songs. and unfortunately, it's the ones by Noel that I like
