I can't believe with my own ears how good this new album is.
This is a new band it sounds like . . .not a RE-INVENTION . . .nothing DRASTIC . . . but just enough PROPER use of their BEST ABILITIES.
To all the SKEPTICS out there . . . don't be!
And to all the "Youre not a true fan" people . . . I'll buy the album . . .one for everyone I know maybe.
Either way . . it's worth a listen . . . it's an album that IS the definition of the bands name . . an OASIS. ..something that provides refuge, relief, or pleasant contrast.
Just wanted to say my piece . . . We are all in for a ride with this Album!

i listened to snippets of all the tracks last night it is a quality album i have to say no tracks i disliked at all, one didnt seem to have many words but they were all good anyone notice noel seems to have poached a few top tunes for himsdelf this time round!!! and also can someone clarifythis.. let there be love has been around for ages but Noel used to sing it!?! either that i I wrote it myself cos i knew all the words before id listened to it  |

anyone who says the new album is amazing has questionable taste in music. Granted there are a handful of really solid songs on this album; A Bell Will Ring and Let There Be Love are pretty great... I quite like Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, and Lyla's grown on me a bit as well.
The majority of songs, however, are annoying or dull. Turn Up The Sun is a terrible album opener... just a bad song in general. Part Of The Queue is just shite, Importance Of Being Idle is a poor man's I'm Only Sleeping.
DBTT is probably pretty comparable to HC; they're pretty clearly the worst Oasis albums.

For me DBBT is up there with (WTS)MG? and DM,a great Oasis record. I think it's pretty arrogant to say to everyone else that they have "questionable taste in music" and then say something as subjective as that. Opinions are like arseholes - everyone has one and they are usually full of shit. |

everyone is sooo split on this album. I would say because it's so different.
Turn up the Sun is a great opener, has a real vibe. Mucky fingers is so cool. Lyla is meh, good single. Love like a Bomb is fantastic. Idle is AMAZING. I'm only sleeping sounds so much different although it deals with the same topic. LOL GUYS OASIS TALKED ABOUT LOVE THEY COPIED THE BEATLES. Meaning of soul is so awesome... why do people not like it? It's just quick, fast intense. Killer chorus. Part of the queue is fantastic. Keep the Dream alive is overrated. It seems like its trying too hard to be chorus. It comes out as extremely cliche. Good tune though. A Bell will ring is so great. I don't know why people dislike this one either. It sounds so nice. Let There Be Love is brilliant.
Best album since Be Here Now.
