i know i will prob get some abusive replys for this but this is my opinion and i am entitled to it so there
after several listens to DBTT i honestly believe it is the worst oasis album to date
here why
turn up the run would have been a great opener if it would not have been spoiled by a 1 minute long outro that should have been either a guitar solo or the corus repeated a couple of times
Mucky finger is without a doubt the worst Noel sung Oasis track to date
the supposed stand out tracks i am starting to get very bored of very quickly
Idle is no-where near in the same league as SCYHO part of the queue I just cannot see the appeal of that song its not a patch on Little by Little
GGTIA is a good song but in my opinion lacks the simplistic magic that was songbrid and the albums supposed epic 'Let there be love' is well produced and sung but has a weak mellody and is easily forgotton
All the other songs in my opinion are just average oasis tunes that belong as B-Sides
Don't think its a terrible album but considering its been 3 years in the making very disapointing

He He! That`s the bit where your opinion went right to dog shit TIOBI and POTQ are 50x better than SCYHO or LBL, just compare the lyrics to both for a start.
If your gonna come on and have a pop at the new album, at least make a believable argument.

As far as I'm concerned this is by far the best Oasis album since DM. Every single song (with the exception of Keep The Dream Alive) is good or fecking brilliant. Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, The Importance Of Being Idle, and Meaning Of Soul etc are absolutely brilliant.
You're entitled to your own opinion and all that but SCYHO is absolutely awful. A digusting pastiche of an Oasis song circa 1995. Awful. HC is absolutely rank.

Not so sure if it`s better than MG, will take a bit to decide that, BUT, it`s without a doubt the best since MG.

I think It's better than morning glory, and equal to Be Here Now, but that'll change. I go through phases with MG and BHN, and I see myself doing the same with this.
It's a top album.

Each to their opinion and everything, and the fact that you like SCYHO over Idle suggests you like the big sing-a-longs - DBTT is a challenging record which will put some fans of the SCYHO ilk off.
But how you can put songs like SCYHO above Idle is beyond me. Idle isn't trying to be anything thats come before it. It is a song in its own right, a classic on it's own. Songs like SCYHO and LBL are so contrived, it's like they came from the Big Book Of Stadium Rock. Verse, Bridge, Chorus, Verse, Bridge, Chorus, Guitar Break, Chorus and that's it. Nothing new, nothing from the heart. The lyrics also just seem like someone desperately searching for different ways to say things he's said a million times before.
What I love about this album is that it stands on its own. Nothing on it is an attempt to rehash the past, it's like "This is us now, you can love it, or piss off". It's the sound of a band that has found a new voice, they've shown that Oasis don't have to write songs like Oasis 1995, they can write songs very much of Oasis 2005, and still be brilliant. It's a proper album, and it seems like it's over in a flash.

DM is definitely the bollocks. MG is avergae but the cultural impact means its a 'classic' album regardless. BHN is pretty poor in my opinion. There's 3 or 4 good songs on it but the rest are just like songs of MG but longer and shitter

'Mucky finger is without a doubt the worst Noel sung Oasis track to date'
I'm with you on that one.....sounds a mess...makes me cringe when i hear that song....
in my own opinion its heathen chemistry MK2 all of the new songs wouldn't have sounded out of place on heathen chemistry.
Great album, so too was heathen chemistry.....

nah Mucky Fingers is the bollocks. Velvet Underground rip off, but they're a top band to plagarise from.

I don't see how anyone can criticize the WHOLE album, but then again-its all about opinions innit
ive heard Lyla, LTBL and KTDA
and in all honesty i actually had tears of joy, the feeling i got from listening to them was almost indescribable....cant wait till the full album is out (thats the main reason why im waiting, i love that feeling.....)

lay off little by little, one of my favorite oasis songs....anyway, i dont know how one can criticize the album, i love every song ...every song....i had to nitpick to find a couple songs "not to like" in a review. It's styles is so refreshing, it seems like oasis finally found their proper new direction

In terms of variety, it's their best. Definitely. Maybe. I really like it, and right now, after 100 listenings, it's my fave apart from Morning Glory.
