For all those like myself who have so far managed to resist downloading the new album what have you allowed yourself to get you through it whilst making sure you don't spoil release day?
For instance, I've downloaded Lyla because it's on the radio, music TV etc and have listened to that a hell of a lot.
I've listened to Eyeball Tickler twice.
I've read through all the lyrics to the album once.
I've listened to 15-second clips of The Importance of Being Idle and Mucky Fingers.
I've read every review I can find, as well as bought all the magazines with interviews/reviews in them.
How about you?
Hang on in there, only three weeks to last out - aaaargh!

Jesus mate, you've done enough to spoil it for yourself already - just download the thing and make yourself happy ;D You can still buy it on release day (as will we ALL).

I've just listened to Lyla on the radio or on the telly, read a few reviews. One thing I have done tho is pre ordered the single and Special edition album, so I don't even have to stress out among the crowds of people in the shops coz they will both come to me!

I don't understand this whole 'release day' euphoria thing.
Music is music and will sound as glorious or shit as it is whether you listen to it now on in a months time.
What you need to do if you download though, is to listen to it with its proper tracklisting as a whole album. Hearing it in bits WILL spoil it cos DBTT is greater than the sum of its parts (which makes it pretty damn good)

Erm...I've dl'ed Lyla and Eyeball Tickler, and watched the documentary that was online for a few days... that's all.
Of the clips in the documentary (will this be "The Ear Has No Memory", then?), I'm really intrigued to hear GGTIA, and Part of the Queue... ABWR sounded disappointing even though there were only like 10 seconds of it played.

The man with no name quoted:
Exactly, I'll wait!!!! I'm counting the days by now. Next monday is the day that the single comes out; I'll buy the cd and dvd-single. I don't have the need to download it, I want to hear the songs in full quality the first time. MP3's are mostly surrogate to me and I am oldfashioned in listening it on the release day. Be Here Now, SOTSOG, Heathen you name it. I never heard the album before the release.
The day I'll put the cd in my cdplayer will create an orgasm of sounds, all spreading thrue the window, teasing the neighbourhood with heavenly, heathenly sounds.
Oh my Gosshh......Mad fer it?

i'm waiting as well. It's like x-mas. i never opened up my gifts early, eventhough i'd eventually be getting the same gift. i enjoy the anticipation and the surprise. sure i opened up small gifts sumtimes before x-mas ( the b-sides), but never the big boxes. i always waited. it's just not the same to me.
- cheers !
