Oasis played 4 songs on saturday afternoon for CD:UK- hence these will be the 4 singles:
Lyla (nothing live-all mimed)
Noel Song - something about laying under the stars, given up on the summertime because it always rains
Let there be love (mimed- Liam missed 2 cues)
Mucky Fingers (Sounded Live guitar-Gem could not do the hamonica, run out of breath)
Bit dissapointed did not play much of it live- on the other stage they were setting up Jamerquio for a full live set.
also now have a bloke who looks like john lennon playing a white piano-
Noel called the 60 odd crowd "thieving vaginas" beacuse everybody was singing the words to the songs- even though 3 not been released- although joking he did sound a bit pissed off.
Overall -Oasis did'nt want to be there, Noel is getting bloody old, but the songs were great- however performance a bit boring- Lylas being played next saturday.

yes i was there- it was at riverside studios in Hammersmith - oasis played at 2.30 and did 4 songs twice over to get the different camera shots

That really suprises me - maybe they didn't like the sound of Liam's vocals when they performed live for CD:UK for Heathen Chemistry.
It wasn't the best, it has to be said, particulary Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

VERY upset to hear about this miming bollocks.  I know they used to do it on TOTP all the time, but these days people put a lot of store in a band actually performing the songs live. Maybe it's cos Liam was a bit shit doing Lyla on Jonathan Ross a couple of days earlier, but... FUCK. |

It wouldn't surprise me at all if LTBL was the final single off the record (although I do kind of hope they re-record it with some more harmonies on the final choruses - yeah, I know it'll never happen) |

Lyla will be on this saturday's CD:UK, so I'm pretty sure someone would make a video of that and put it up online soon. One of the staff told me that the rest of the songs would be shown one every couple of weeks (or so) throughout May and June.

I'm not sure I believe this, sorry.  I have no idea what CD:UK is but I just read bands ALWAYS perform live there. That could be wrong (as I said, no CD:UK for me) but it's what I read, I'm sure others here can confirm/deny it. Why would they perform a song live (MF) and mime the others? Also, Oasis hates mimming, I'm sure they won't do it unless they have to and I can't see why they would have to do it this time. Well, we'll see next Sat. anyway. Did any other source report about this show? EDIT: forgot to add that I also doubt Noel would be pissed off. Wasn't he the man who said "go get them"? I could see he joking about the leak (against record company recommendations), but being pissed off that the fans like and sing the new songs? Really doubt it. |

yeah gnr Im thinking the same thing...why on earth would oasis agree to miming...thats a direct shot at their cred...in fact what makes me love them so much are their live shows...SHIT! I really hope this is not true
