Fans are gonna love the new album, im blown away with songs like like Love Like A Bomb,GGTIA, Mucky Fingers(just velvet underground´s waitng for my man meets bob dylan(genius) meets noel gallagher.) Idle that is so Kinks, so beautiful. I guess, that you have to be more than oasis fan to understand this album, cause it has so much all around background in the influece side. Its not the beatles, the stones and the stone roses. I dont know how general public are gonna take it, cause it lacks of the general audience aproach imo. I think noel is writing more to himself than in any album before this one, which is gr8 IMO.
I hope that people actually get what an amazing album this is.

I think the public is gonna take to this album a hell of alot better than the last 2. I've shown Let There Be Love and IOBI to about 30 people now, and I haven't heard a single bad commeent on either. The only song that I don't think could ever make it mainstream is Mucky Fingers, simply because it takes more than 1 listen to get passed the whole "what the hell? this is oasis?" thing and realize that it's really a damn catchy tune.... I think this album might bring them back to North America....not in the way Morning Glory did, but there could definately be a bit of a resurgence here. I've heard Lyla more than all of the singles from the last 2 albums combined.

Tooo mediocre and the guitars aren't loud enough. The production was bad but the songs are great. Just my opinion

i think Let There Be Love is the odd duck in the album. it's the least heavy on guitars and noise in general. but the sound of this album is much more geared toward rock than the pop tunes they'll always be known for (wonderwall being the main one).

Everyone moaning about how the new stuff is different needs to get the fuck over it. I for one am really pleased that they finally ARE doing something new; it's BRILLIANT. If you want a wall of noise just go back and listen to My Big Mouth or something. Plus, would you really want to hear songs like GGTIA or TIOBI buried by an avalanche of electric guitar noise? No, it would RUIN the tunes. The new stuff is great. Oasis are finally working outside their safety net - it's about time the fans did as well.

Well, I think that as a collection of songs, DBTT is really good. Certainly better than anything else on the radio.
However, there isn't one song on the album, imo, that is as good as any of their best songs (and they usually had like 2 per album).
So uh, it seems like more of a fans' album. Like fans will love it. But you need that really strong single to bring in the general public, don't you?
