Does anyone else think the promotion for the new album in the USA is a little poor?
I read in this forum that HC sold 144000 copies there, which just makes me very sad.
All the articles/reviews we see here are mainly Britain magazines... they are not playing on the Conan/Leno/Letterman shows (as far as I know)... so what's going to sell DBTT over there?
I hope they don't resign with Sony.

144,000? Wow, I assumed it had at least gone gold. I knew they didn't get much radio support, but I thought they still had a good following here.

they'll definitely play on leno, because of the hollywood bowl.
i'm not sure whether it'll be dave or conan in new york, but i highly expect them to play a song for one of those shows because of msg.

Is it really that important to play Conan O'Lenoman in over there? Is that really good promo? Just asking, no critic.

They are playing Letterman.
Conan isn't all that big a deal, Noel played Little By Little on Conan and it did absolutely nothing for them. I'll rank the importance of talk shows in North America
1. Leno 2. Letterman 3. SNL 4. Conan 5. None others matter.

HC sucked and didn't deserve to sell well. Oasis blew their chance in America when Noel walked out on the American tour in 1995 or 1996. You just can't do that in the US. They lost a LOT of fans with that stunt. Their only chance to break big was after Morning Glory but they blew it.

It would also be great if they played Regis or the Today (Morning) Show over at NBC... hahahha... suddenly Moms across North America are humming Lyla!!
To me... it doesn't do much if they made appearance in any of the late night talk shows... SNL's got low ratings
But the best promotion/bet is Jon Stewart's show, imo
If not that... do an I & I with muchmoremusic in Toronto!!

Conan is more important than you might think. He's pretty popular.

Just asking, no critic. conan o'brien (not o'leno) is THE way to reach young viewers on late night. i would have said the daily show, but there's no live performances on it, cause it's fake news ;D (jon stewart is hysterical) they did play conan in 2002- little by little they played jay leno in 2000- where did it all go wrong? and played david letterman in 2000- i can see a liar

anyone have the LBL vid on conan? and i also agree that snl shoudl drop a spot, but among my freinds (juniors and seniors in HS) we watch a lot more letterman than we do leno, so if theyre trying to get a younger audience then put letterman on top.
