I have a friend whose mantra is "its better to burn out than fade away", then he adds on "I guess oasis sont understand this" I played the album for him yesterday and he loves it. thinks its their best work ever
then i know another guy who's into the other side of british rock; while i'm into oasis, kasabian, libs and razorlight he likes his keane, coldplay and snow patrol. so he really doesnt like oasis. played it for him too and he was going mental for noels songs
anybody else been converted or converted someone with this album?

I came back from school (uni) and my brother and his friends were all going on about Oasis... Mostly due to my massive collection on the computer So I converted them that way... However, one was only sorta into them, but then when I played him bits of DBTT, he was like 'This is awesome!'

I've given up, man.
People are stupid. They have bad fucking taste. Oasis have been around for 10 years. If they can't get into it then they're a lost cause. Their loss. I give up trying to convince 'em.

I convinced a friend of Oasis, and since then he is 'mad for it'. Everytime I see him he bought another CD.
Some people can't be convinced because they don't recognize quality music. Let them listen to there Blink182 cds and f*ck em.

I converted some emo girl into Oasis after Lyla came on the radio. Could Oasis become popular again?

I've heard the same ol oasis haters slag it off, which brings up the question why the fuck did they download it in the first place?

I just wanted to say, I think you can make new fans of Oasis anytime. A lot of people with great taste in music just haven't been exposed to them, at least here in the US. I speak from experience too. 2002, I only knew Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova, my friend who is mad for them got me to play some of there stuff, and now I have all the albums and am working through getting all the singles. I can't breathe a day without listening to even a little Oasis, they seriosuly are the greatest group of musicians of our generation. I think DBTT will find a whole new generation of fans, from what I've heard it is just incredible, blowing my mind!
Cheers everyone, can't wait for the shows this summer! NYC, Philly, Columbia
