It's madness. Don't be stupid.
What the f**k is this "Magnus" anyway, if people are so sure he's carrying one?

if it was madness he would sing "i carry madness everywhere i go" not "i carry a madness" cos thats improper grammer.
and isnt a magnus a type of gun or something?

I carry THE MADNESS everywhere I go agree in reply to an ealier comment about the gun thing - i don't claim to know guns very well, but are you mixing up magnus with a magnum?

1. Magnus effect, the effect of rapid spinning on a cylinder or sphere moving through a fluid in a direction at right angles to the axis of spin, which results in a sideways force at right angles to both the direction of motion and the axis of spin and towards the side where the peripheral motion of the body is in the opposite direction to its overall motion. 2. Magnus force, a force on a rotating body arising from the Magnus effect. 3. Manganese oxide.

I think the review from the Sun mentioned the line being discussed here. Of course, we don't know if they were given the official lyrics with their disc.

you guys have to be kidding me. how dumb are you seriously?! the words are in the booklet. even if you do not have the words, common sense should prevail. think. does it sound like something liam would say? (or, indirectly, does it sound like something the band would write?) MADNESS! look at webbys signature. i cant believe how stupid people can get. its in print!

The topic was started a long time ago, before the album release.

i got a piano, i can't find the 'C'
When I first heard this line (and before the album with lyrics was readily available) I though Liam said:
i got a piano, i can't find the seat
For whatever reason I found the concept of having a piano but no seat to sit on amusing. Also some people thought the line in Mucky Fingers said:
'You found your God in a paperbag?' - I don't know what that would mean? LOL

LOL i thought it was paperbag for a good while as well... thought it was something about finding your meaning of life in drink or somethin... it didn't really make much sense
