when all the music goes quiet (around 2mins) & Liam comes back in singing the line "Who kicked a hole in the sky....." bit again - does anyone think at this point it would have been better to have the lyrics from the demo "Well you can say what you want....etc." instead?

it annoys me in songs when a verse is repeated exactly as before

Plus I think Noel wants to go in another direction (different state of mind than the demo, a whole mood changed) guess he thinks the old lyrics doesn't fit in with the mind-blowing background rhythm/music... but it would've been cool if he left some parts of demo lyrics in the album version... I still love the demo though

Yeah, that's how I envisioned the duet to be like. I certainly wouldn't say that I'm disappointed, but I do wonder how it would have sounded.
