If you doubt the quality of DBTT don't go by reviews, good or bad. Buy the album and form your own opinion!! after all, thats all reviews are....some random guy with an opinion. Is it nice to hear a good review? Hells yeh! Is it bad to hear a bad review? NO!! Neither type of reviews mean nothing!! Just cos The Sun, for example, doesnt like it, doesnt mean you won't. another example: 99.9% hate it, what about the .1% that like it, who knows, you could fall in that category. REVIEWS MEAN NOTHING   (2 cents please.....  ) |

Reviews aren't ALWAYS useless and mean nothing...Oasis sure, i'll buy all their albums, but some reviews of U2 and The Rolling Stones are what really got me into them, sometimes reviews are what lead you to the good music...
Of course, they're also a load of bull most of the time

I absolutely agree with all that's been said - but I do enjoy reading reviews and try not to be influenced.
The trick is to find a mag or a individual reviewer you trust - too many reviewers have not only thir own opinions, but sometimes their own agenda...

not everyone neccessarily, there are some Oasis haters out there....
anyway, my point wasnt just about Oasis, its about reviews in general.
I'll read reviews, but it wont sway me one way or the other. If i hear bad reviews yet i like the concept (whether it be a movie, music etc) i will still buy it....just becasue you, or some critic doesnt like it, doesnt mean i wont....reviews are over-rated....kind of my reasoning for never watching the grammys, the oscars and the like....(For instance Garden State wasnt even nominated i dont think, yet its currently my favourite movie, nothing has toppled it as yet....)
It's all a matter of opinion, formulate your own instead of listening and believing others
(4 cents please haha ;D)

My 2 cents.. I concur with all above about taking critics and reviews for what they are REALLY worth. Make up your own mind. God gave us brains (we shld use them from time to time.. except for me, I am blonde and have to rest mine more than you.. haha.)

~I got GOOSE BUMPS when I heard all the clips ! It sounded incredible and the fact that ALL 4 are collaborating and chiming in will make them better than ever ! Just you wait ! Their trip to Sardy's studio in LA was well worth the trip as you will soon hear and agree.THE SOUND - it's HOT SHIT !

alright, well the majority of the people who belong to this forum will buy the new album....in a perfect world. no question about that... I'm definately buying it no matter what reviews say and if anyone reads bad reviews about DBTT, I'll do what I can to change their mind. I think everyone whos a part of this forum would do the same  |
